well that's exactly it. That's basically exactly what I was saying yesterday about how the government want Americans to live debtfree or close to it, yet they are the most reckless spenders in the world. That's the problem with Social Security, it needs reformed, but actually doing it is another thing.
The thing is though that the Government is for the people by the people. So if the 20something and 30somethings of today start doing what they can, soon their beliefs and practices will be the government. The 60 year old senators can't stay alive forever, so if we work on the youth to do what we can then it will ultimately change this country- just nobody knows if it will be too late.

I got busy. To expand on that.
I think its going to take a young 30 something that has the vision and the support of the public but already has his foot in the door somehow someway without all the corruption and money clouding his judgement. I think a typical person in politics thats our age is going to get way too wrapped up in all the underlying motives and become about him/herself vs. wanting to make a difference. Just too much money involved. I consider that hope a borderline lost cause.
I think the ticket should be Babs Bunny/Stewie Griffin '08 2Dumbe.
