We've been too soft all season long... never responded well to physicality this season... I pointed it out a few weeks ago, after the last loss to Memphis... unfortunately, it doesn't bode well going into the playoffs.

Can't wait to play at home though... the whistle on the road is just unnerving...

Well, Memphis is the number one team in the league scoring in the paint, so it's no surprise the Spurs got hammered there without their best interior defender. But not even trying to go with Splitter down the stretch is a headscratcher (does this word even exist?).

and with our luck Memphis gets the 7th seed
LOL and then that would mean LA might get the easiest first round matchup they've ever had.

    Gotta love it.

Bottom line was Spurs needed a defencive stop there but they went with an offensive line up... Pretty stupid.
Been the MO all year, tbh. I don't mind it so much when Duncan is in there because Duncan makes them so much better definsively but without Tim it should be a no brainer.

Ah well, at this point I just hope they can hang on to the 1st seed.

TD's absence, spurs running out of steam, other factors, combo of both?

the Spurs are going through what the Lakers, Heat went through earlier& what celts are going through now......it's the worse time of the year for this to happen though......

    Tony Allen was great!

    Awesome game Tony Allen.

LOVE the toughness that guy plays with since that knee injury. He's got himself back from that. Great stuff Tony Allen.

I thought he was a clown for the way he injured himself, but it looks like he worked his ass off to get back and get even better than he was before.

    Big props from me.
Not even going to talk about his bull offense but the Spurs have needed this time of player for a long long time. His defense impressed me, as it did in Boston too. I wonder why so many of the Spurs compe ors have this type of player and the Spurs have to rely on 6'2" George Hill.

Yep that small ball defense is really great. Really outweighs the offense we get from it.

And what clown said that they want LA to lose??? U want LA to win so NO drop to 8th. If the Spurs can't hold the first seed then that is on them, not because LA didn't lose.
as in Portland we got the lead with small ball, but then forgot to play big again to defend the lead ... just bad

Guy, it's not the coaches fault that an old team, despite having severely managed minutes, has run out of gas after leading the West all year.
Run out of gas, why? Because you said so or because they baby their players? Ginobili, who has nowhere near the mileage of Bryant, he's worn down, but Bryant's old ass hasn't? I don't buy it.

Make no mistake, this is on the coaching staff. Completely illogical decision after completely illogical decision. Only now, they're not getting away with it like they were earlier in the season.

This team is soft, both mentally and physically. Teams just push them around and bully them and they do nothing about it. The Lakers or the Celtics would have put a team like the Trail Blazers or the Grizzlies in their place by now. They wouldn't let them continue to run rampant and build confidence at their expense. This team just takes it lying down.

hahaha pop looks furious as (interview) good for you pop, all you need is matts junk in your mouth to look complete jjkjkjkjkjkjkj like i said im happy this is going down, if pop doesnt see the problem in the past games, then never see it and expect tim to cover up his (bonners) tremendous amount of mistakes. if he truly doesn't see bonner being a liabity than hes no longer a coach that can take us to win rings and we need to get rid of him.. no joke i know hes damn good but were remembering the old pop not this one!!!!

Why do yo want the Lakers to lose.

NO would be a much better first round opponent.

If the Spurs can't hold number 1 seed that is on them. shouldn't have to rely on other teams.

    Agree 100% with this.

This is a team game...this includes coaching...the coaching staff wet the bed on this whole in' road trip.

Splitter is not going to be given a chance...by any spurs coach...we can talk until we are blue in the face but Splitter not being given a true chance is going to cost the chance at a le.

I am the biggest laker hater but if this game was the lakers...they would have put some memphis players on their ass or on the injured list, Kobe - if he had a thigh "contusion" would have gutted it out and they would have got the win and put the grizzlies in their place.

The spurs are one of the softest teams heading into the playoffs and they better goddamn hope that Timmy comes back with a healed ankle---because if he comes back gimpy (or gimpier) and we have to see Bonner getting overplayed---and don't ing kid yourself that POP is CAPABLE of pulling Bonner when he isn't hitting threes---then this season will be the biggest tease for spurs fans in their history.

This Bonner/Splitter fiasco was sealed last summer when the Spurs re-signed that piece of Bonner...everyone here but the POP and Bonner apologists could see this exact same that is happening right now---since that fateful summer day.

    Hate on me if you will...but the ONLY---ONLY---ONLY in chance this season will turn out good is;

    I'm sayin' it...

Is if in Bonner suffers a serious injury...

You guys are wasting your time.... this is how we're rolling... When it gets chippy, we're probably gonna fold... Timmy just can't carry this team like he used to, and neither does Manu... We needed RJ to be a lot better and Bonner to be the 5th big... neither happened.
If we're lucky, we're going to win the 3 point contest all the way to a LOB... unlikely, but weird things have happened before.

These last 3 games have been rough, but I know Spurs will be able to pull through. Gotta beat Trailblazers tomorrow.

The Lakers aren't going to lose to a West-less NO on their home floor and we won't beat Portland without Manu.

If Hill plays like he did in this game and Neal and Anderson can provide some solid minutes, we have a shot. Until they bench Splitter the entire 4th quarter for the Blair/Bonner front court lineup.

LOL that last sentence just made me laugh out loud. We've always got a chance until they bench Splitter and change the lineup that helped us get in position to win.

We play one way the whole game then they change it all in the 4th quarter. The coaches truly are MORONS.

I'm sorry to use Phil Jackson's line but the simulator crew has a malfunction.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I knew our le hopes were pretty slim once we got our asses handed to us at home by the Lakers. Now that we have injuries on top of that and all stupid coaching decisions, it's pretty much slim and none.

Grizz gonna have 60+ points in the paint this game, mark my words...

I was soooooo close. It was only 58 points in the paint. Our team sucks ass without TD.....
