What offers would get sweeter? Each of the three teams have a number that is already known. Under the table stuff maybe would be in play (promised jobs for family members).
I'm happy as long as he keeps delaying.
My new dream scenario: Kawhi strings this along, and the teams eventually decide that they have to cut it off and go sign another FA or two. Kawhi whines like a jilted Taylor Swift that they didn't want him enough to wait for him to decide, and Neph runs off to join Durant in Brooklyn.
Why would he care about a 2-year deal to get the Supermax salary? I thought his star power was so great that he was going to be his own brand. The kids will all come a'runnin to get the latest Mute Cancer kicks. "I wanna be like 'Whi."
Maybe the government will hire him for a campaign about getting all kids vaccinated. Since the wackos say that vaccinations cause autism, all the parents will make sure to get their kids shots, so they can be autistic like Kawhi.
The possibilities are endless. He doesn't have to worry about the salary.![]()

We can make fun of Cris Carter all we want but he was right and the first to call that Leonard would meet with the Lakers and Clippers on Monday and Tuesday before going to Toronto. At the time we thought he misspoke about Leonard going to Toronto but sure enough he did go there. Today he revealed that they also had meetings set up with the Nets and Knicks. Nets meeting never happened because KD/Irving and Knicks backed out when their meeting wouldn’t be until Wednesday and didn’t want to wait or like their chances of signing him.
Continues to say no decision has been made. His guess is Friday. Trust is the big thing and that Toronto has the edge there. Lakers/Clippers will have to take that to get him to leave.
...
IMO, he’s never going to LA then. No way Lakers or Clippers gain the kind of trust in a matter of days that the Raptors gained an entire year.
If #2 stays in Canada I would love to see what Mush mouth Shannon Sharpe would say. His whole act of slamming SA and laughing at them is very annoying. He and Bayless ought to come out of the closet on their show so they can be celebrated by the Sports Media Machine.
With regards to Uncle Dennis playing GM, isn't that one of the things that the FO wouldn't let him do here? (J. Simmons, Dedmon)
With regards to the supermax after signing a 1+1, I don't think Kwitter will ever be eligible for it, 10 years or no: " with same team continuously (unless traded during first four years in the league)" , http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q24
The Spurs traded him (after year 7).
Zeus, your dreams aren't big enough. The dream scenario is: Kwitter signs with the Lakers for 4yrs/150 or whatever the max. Takes 25 games off for Load Management in season 1, but still tears his quad in game 73 or so. He spends the next 4 years attempting comebacks, but never plays a playoff game for them (because between Lebron, Unibrow and Kwitter they have no depth around them). Then he retires. Kwitter is appropriately rewarded for quitting, being hated by every fan-base in the nba (SAS & TOR for quitting on them, LAL for being the rock that holed the boat during their Lebron years). LAL is ironically rewarded for their tampering by acquiring a salary cap anchor that sinks their ambitions; after another 4 years of failure, LAC becomes the dominant franchise in LA...
Congrats from me![]()
Oh, I’m not saying that’s a specific trade was just giving a hypothetical about what ClipperNation was talking about.
Supposedly #2 had a very strong meeting with the Raptors yesterday, which Drake was heavily involved. Drake talked about Kawhi being involved with his OVO label. He's down to Raptors and Lakers. Clippers supposedly out. Wants to make sure if he signs with the Lakers that the all three superstars will fit.
Hopefully this got has a career ender tbh.
I like your style, pad.
If he goes to the Lakers what exactly is he? He’s just another Laker. Yeah he’s a great player but he will never be Magic or Kobe in the eyes of those fans. He plays there for four or five years and that’s it. Honestly he should stay put. He is already a God in Canada. Just continue that legacy.
Kinda this.
Him and uncle are too stupid to realize how good they have it with the Raptors.
Best scenario, stays with Toronto, loses ecf, kathi then trade demands again, justifying his label as a quitter. You say "do a 1+1" but why not do 5 and pick your teams as you see fit? It worked the first time. Contacts don't mean to Dennis
What injury?
my nigg' RD![]()
Hmmm... he, and along with Uncle Dennis, just may decide to stay in Toronto, but are trying to decide for how long. One more year or two years, with an eye on LAL, their ultimate destination. But right now, the LAL player situation just may not be right, especially with #2's need for load management, and LBJ's need for load management, and AD's injury prone issues. With this team's current construction, it could cause an issue with trying to play catch up in the Western Conference's playoff seedings, if these situations do occur, which would make for a big hill to climb. If he signs a 2 year contract to opt out in the 2nd year, he can check back with the LAL's to see if they have made any adjustments or improvements, in theory... And I thought #2 didn't want to be 2nd banana to LBJ. And the only players that are coming to the LAL to play with LBJ are old washed up NBA scraps or a player who is signed with LBJ's agent.
"Take me with you Kawhi,i'll be a good boy Kawhi,i'll fight for your name in the internetz Kawhi"
Drake offering a mute involvement to his music label.
Yeah that's why I said supposedly. No one knows what's going on.
How you can compare any Spurs team with Tim Duncan on it to this current Spurs team is beyond my understanding. If this team had prime Duncan AD and LeGM would be food. But we don't have any player that's even close to that level
