who cares about the young players' value?

they'll be able to outright sign kawhi and let rondo/stephenson/KCP walk.

you'll have ball/kawhi/ingram/lebron as starters and still have kuzma/hart off the bench. and now ring chasing veterans get the added benefit of playing in ing LA instead of a hole like cleveland
They should be able to easily keep Rondo and still have max capspace for Leonard next summer. They can probably keep Stephenson too.

If the Spurs actually take Deng back in deal, please tell me why any of you would still support this team.
that, I'll bail and check back in five years.

At people pining for Randle, this generation's Lee. Many of his advanced stats look nice (though they were aided by his contract drive), but he's an archaic type, the likes of which would be an awkward fit on a winning team.

If Aldridge is in for the long haul, he wouldn't really fit alongside him either, which means his role would be limited anyway.

Don't get why the Lakers are loading up on sub par range shooting play makers (Ball, Stephenson, Rondo), but if Rondo is a prelude to signing Cousins, then that'll be a prelude to speeding up Davis' seemingly inevitable trade to the Celtics.

damn it looks like spurs are set to ride this disaster out through next season and are letting leonard walk
lakers would offer more if they gel and think leonard would be the piece to get them by finals
also would prove he was healthy

it would mean that RC fell off the wagon and he'd need our support more than ever

Given the offers better to roll with no trade if Pop and RC are up to it.

i dont think he'd be a great fit for the spurs, necessarily... but at some point you just want to have your talent level above a certain line

    Perfect

they still could sign and trade randle to us. The only possibility to match salaries ?
No they cannot. They do not have Bird Rights for Randle any more after renouncing him. The Lakers have no way sign him and hence no way to sign and trade him.

So does signing Rondo increase chances of Lonzo being turned into a lottery pick & or JJ?

You don't quit, take money and then expect to force a trade to where you want to go for nothing.

Exactly Had the Spurs been more committed to really making a trade on draft night then they could have gotten more from Phil including the 10th pick that Phil was all right trading. Spurs needed to have beaten Phoenix to the table with an offer but they should have had things worked out days before the draft with Phil. they didn't make a trade because they didn't want a trade not because they couldn't make a trade they liked.

The Spurs were still not convinced they wanted to trade Leonard and that is why there was no trade.
The Spurs were not convinced they wanted to lose a top 5 player, yes. Had they not tried to make things right we'd be up in arms about it.

Let's not forget Pop was dealing with the loss of his wife either . It's possible it took a little longer to make moves as he was grieving.

PG's relationship with OKC all things considered was neutral prior to the season. he presumably wanted to go to LA and ultimately fell in love with OKC/Westbrook.

thats very different than kawhi who apparently isn't even on speaking terms with the club. and PG wasn't the lakers primary goal this summer, they didnt roll out the red carpet for him. it became all about lebron/kawhi with PG being the afterthought
PG was a done deal...why put much effort into signing a guy who said he was going there in the first place...besides who cares what Leonard wants to do with his free agency....the lakers weren't getting him....he's getting traded east so whatever happens after...if youre the Spurs Leonard's free agency is not your business anymore

The way it’s looking is that Magic only gonna give Kuz and Ingram with Deng...
