The Morning Consult poll released Monday shows Biden has 45% support of voters nationwide compared to Trump, who has 42% of support from voters.

Biden has seen a 5 point net drop in his favorability since the poll was last conducted in late April.

Morning Consult attributes Biden’s drop to the media coverage of Tara Reade’s sexual assault allegations against Biden.

Biden Is Compe ive In Places Democrats Rarely Win, Like Georgia

New polls show former vice president Joe Biden leading President Trump in the state of Georgia and in Nebraska’s 2nd congressional district, two places where Democratic presidential candidates rarely win and which hold down-ballot races that may prove pivotal for control of Congress.

A poll from Republican firm Public Opinion Strategies shows Biden narrowly leading Trump in Georgia, a state Democrats haven’t won since 1992, by 1 point, 47% to 46%.

The U.S. Senate race in Georgia is also tight, with Republican in bent David Perdue leading Democratic challenger Jon Ossoff by 2 points, 43% to 41%.

In Georgia’s special U.S. Senate election, Republican in bent Kelly Loeffler, who was appointed to the seat in December, narrowly trails Republican challenger Doug Collins, with 18% to Collins’ 19%, while Democrat Matt Lieberman is at 17%.

This followed a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee poll released Tuesday showing Biden leading Trump by 11 points in Nebraska’s 2nd congressional district, which allocates its own electoral vote in presidential elections that has been won by just one Democratic presidential candidate since 1964.

These polls follow a trend of Biden running compe ive in states where a Democratic presidential candidate normally wouldn’t have a strong chance such as

while polls of traditional swing states like
