You can't sidestep Congress on cuts/spending because you want to do something really badly, or because passing laws is too tedious and time-consuming

that's what Congressional oversight is for
The Executive isn't allowed to investigate waste, fraud, or abuse over the funds entrusted to it to carry out its functions? I find that hard to believe.

Congressional oversight is for determining whether or not the Executive is faithfully executing the laws they pass...not whether they choose to use #2 pencils or black ink, in order to execute them.

Rushmore abandons laws and the Cons ution the second he learns Trump and Elon are not following them.

Again, what specific cuts have been made over which Congress has a direct interest? These are all Executive decisions based around faithfully executing the laws. I would think you (and Congress) would be pleased the Executive is finding ways to carry out the will of Congress for less money.

Your reading comprehension really blows. I didn't say it was illegal myself. Yoni asked what the allegation was and I told him because I guess he can't read well either.

Musk did back those funds without any transparent proof to back up his claim.
Your reading comprehension really blows. Musk didn't seize any funds, the chief of the Department of Homeland Security did, and there was nothing illegal about it.

a whole half million dollars, that's the extreme fraud you've uncovered?

This is 100% not a real audit. It's a witch-hunt, you know, the kind Co-President Trump complained about without evidence for years?
It's an example. Want a bigger one?

Where did Congress specifically legislate for the Environmental Protection Agency to dumps funds [$10 Billion) to a holdover account (like "throwing gold bars off the anic") so that it might escape the spending cuts they expected, under the new administration?

Again, and I'm not speaking to Rep. Cole's a en on budgets, there is a difference between appropriations and spending. If you want Congress to control every penny, they need to line item every expenditure.

I'm still curious which DOGE-recommended cuts you oppose, Winehole? Or, if you think the audit is politically-motivated and driven, which cuts aren't being recommended that should be?
He will never answer your questions. He quoted your post, cut your questions out, and only addressed the first part.

the agency heads report to DOGE and DOGE reports to POTUS

Soviet style party discipline here, it's not hard to figure out what will happen to agency heads that don't play ball

You seem to be implying the President has no power to control how appropriations are spent.

Did President Biden violate the Cons ution when he halted funding the Congressionally ordered border wall?

USAID was absorbed into the State Department. A 90-day halt on foreign aid was ordered, during which Secretary Rubio issued a waiver to exempt essential humanitarian assistance, including life-saving HIV services under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

The point being President Trump isn't the only President to halt or move funds around. And, Biden is far from the only other one to do so.

How much of the funds for wall construction didn't get spent and did it go anywhere else?

Perhaps using President Potato was a poor choice.

President Obama stopped defending the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), resulting in funds, appropriated by Congress, for that purpose from being spent. (A case of withholding appropriated funds)

President Obama redirected funds the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to create the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) in 2012. This action blatantly violated the wish of Congress that failed to pass the DREAM Act. (A case of moving funds from one Congressionally appropriated program to one made up out of whole cloth).

President Obama unilaterally delayed the employer mandate in the Affordable Care Act. This included penalties (or taxes, depending on which day you ask John Roberts) which were supposed to generate revenue expected in the ACA.

President Obama delay military aid to Ukraine and ultimately provided aid that was different than that order by Congress. (remember blankets instead of bullets?)

President Obama paused sanctions on Iran, mandated by Congress.

President Obama withheld funds from law enforcement agencies refusing to comply with his immigration policies.
