Good to see LeVert leave the Hawks he was good for them last year. Leaves them without a bench playmaker. Hopefully NAW goes somewhere else other than Hawks. I’d be calling Denver if I was his agent plenty of minutes behind Braun and Cam Johnson off their bench.

well, if he doesn't pan out you have a 31 yold center that never averaged more than 6ppg or reached 20mins per game in his career. Not what i would call easy to move.
OK, what else would you suggest the Spurs do?

They paid fair market value to fill a position of need.

Act like you've been here before. Nearly every contract is tradeable. Do you even watch the NBA?

Yeah. I think he ends up as more than a back up C.
Well man, that means we still need a back up C

He’s an upgrade over Zach Collins who was getting like 16 million a year lol
My left nut is better than Shat Collins. Getting rid of that dweeb along with the minimal picks for Fox was really the cherry on top of that fleecing.

I'm 100% convinced that's a troll account, I don't remember the last time he had a good take.

So Capela signing really only makes sense if Sengun is gone for Giannis

I'm looking in the comparison view. Who can beat what the Spurs have?

I don't see the Spurs offering any of the young guys. Fox likely has a decade left of near all star play. I was against him because of size and nature of his game depleting but he does have quite a bit left in the tank still and is a proven playoff performer. You add Giannis, the best player in the world and Wemby who's quickly entering that conversation.

Then you add Harper, and Castle as your guards. Hopefully Bryant and Sochan become something on the wing?

That's a legitimate 5-7 player core for the next 5 years at least. Everything else is moveable and you won't have many minutes outside of that core left in the playoffs that aren't straight role players.

I'm just saying I see the vision of they went that route. Picks aren't as important when you have a set 7 man rotation. Look how little half our picks play with the 7 man rotation we have now and we aren't even good.

This only works, once again, if there is legitimately no other suitors who can match what the Spurs can which I honestly don't see.
If we're talking about just a pick-heavy package from the Spurs with Vassell and Keldon going out for salary... I think a lot of teams can and will be able to put together packages to beat that. We won't know until it happens though.

Don't be surprised when Kornet stops being an advanced stat darling when instead of playing in deep contending lineups in Boston he has to cover for Barnes and Keldon and Vassell all dragging their asses, getting backdoored, driven by, or not boxing out.
Yeah they should've chased an all star to back up Wemby! Can't have any flaws in your bench players!

Or something like Sengun+Eason+Whitmore+Sheppard for a star guard, with FVV moving to 6th man role?

Our lineup possibilities are expanding exponentially. With one FA. Imagine adding another.

Wemby and Kornet can definitely play together, I believe.

The new coaching staff is going to have some fun tools to work with now.

Great job getting Kornet. If we could trade for Collins free agency will be over and the Spurs would have had quite the talent infusion in the last calendar year.

Are you saying get Giannis without offering any of the young guys? Just with picks and salary filler? And you think Fox will still be playing at a high level in 10 years? His game is based on speed, but I do hope he can become a better shooter in the Spurs system and have a long productive career.

Nice, but probably not much to get an impact dude right?

I think the most valuable thing they have are those Malaki and Wesley expirings, which each alone can net them a 10M player.

FVV is gonna stay starting I think. It could be for Booker though.

Brook to Clippers! I did not expect that, even though Clippers do need a backup C behind Zu. Apparently Clips were in the running for Kornet also.
