The more you try to work out the scenarios, the more is seems likely that Pau signs with the Spurs for the MLE.
I can't see Gasol playing for the Bulls. There just isn't any talent in that team.
Sheridan is one of the biggest hacks out there.
Agreed he's not reliable at all, but he put himself out there...
Sheridan
Agreed on Sheridan, he's desperate for attention to scrape out a living, and his reputation among NBA people has taken a hit.
I'd believe jokers like broussard or bucher over Sheridan and his site about 100 times out of a 100
I do think he's right about the website though. Or that ridiculous app. Makes sense for him to announce on his own platform.
They are going to give him the McBob money. MJ loves his tar heels.
Hopefully the Spurs move on to the next realistic combo forward available (Aminu) 7 ppg, 6 rpg at SF last season for the Pelicans in 25 mpg. 6'8 1/2, athletic and along arms. Could possibly be had to the BAE ($4.2 million over two years) if there is an opt out after the 1st season. Or if Gasol declines, we could offer him most of the mid level exception (i.e 2yrs/$6-7 million).
Gives us a versatile defender off the bench that can guard Durant, Lebron, & Melo (especially valuable when KL gets into foul trouble or injured or play small ball PF without losing rebounding with possibly Diaw at the 5.
Aminu would be awesome to get and like you said hopefully he might be content with the BAE...
I may be wrong but I haven't heard of Aminu drawing much interest from other teams which would help to keep his asking price down...
The Aminu interest will pick up after the big names do something. I bet some team will offer him some big bucks and he'll take it regardless if he fits or not
is sheridan basically another incarcerated bob/darren connolly type of guy that just throws on the wall and has no real sources, gets a couple of guesses right and everybody think's he's an insider?
didn't Brussard report Lebron was likely going back to Cleveland as well?
theres also 90% chance I'm gonna bang Jennifer Lawrence![]()
Good for you.![]()
Well that settles it then. If both Broussard and Sheridan say James is going back to Cleveland, then he for sure is going to Miami.
This may be a ruse by James to leak false info to get Bosh to hurry up and commit to Houston.
Aminu would be a good back up SF/ small ball PF and a WFU guy to boot.
Vegas now has the Cavs at 10-1 to win it all.
Hypothetically, if he does go back to Cleveland, the Cavs still aren't much of a contender. They would have to go all out for Kevin Love.
The Wolves would probably want something like:
Thompson, Waiters, Bennett, 2015 1st rounder (maybe more picks), and Varejao
For Kevin Love & Kevin Martin
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=lgghzbh
Cavs
PG-Irving/Jack
SG-Martin/Wiggins
SF-James/Wiggins
PF-Love /(vet min player)
C-Zeller (or vet min player)
that would give them 12 players and $73.3 million in salary.
they could sign 3 veteran min. players
maybe Rashard Lewis, Chris Anderson and Caron Butler
T-Wolves would get 3 rookie scale players with some upside, along with a 1st rounder. Varejao is a very good backup big man or starter, if he can play alongside Pekovic.
they'd have 14 players for $64.5 million with Bennett on a team option after next season and Varejao (as potential trade bait later on with his expiring contract)
Don't believe any of this tbh. Still think he stays in miami, even if it is on a short-term deal.
