Is this not a good time to mention that every time the cHeat have lost Game 1s in their kind-of-Big 3 era, they have swept their opponent?
So I guess the Spurs should've dropped Game 1 then? The last time the Heat won Game one of the NBA Finals they lost in 6.

F'n stole a game tbh. Lot of room to improve with a 1-0 lead in the Finals. I'll take it.
Seriously... the Spurs missed a ton of shots and still won with their D.

Was at a friends apartment for the game. The Neighbors are from Miami so they where cheering most of the time until the 4th.... They are a cool couple though. Talked friendly trash with them throughout the game. Had a few drinks... Good time.

Over-reacting is what Spur fans do best...but it is only one game....game 2 will be very telling..if the Heat come out and smoke the Spurs, we're going to have a 6 or 7 game series, but if the Spurs can keep it really close, or win, Spurs will win this in 5 or 6

What a game. What a win. And damn, that easily has to be one of, it not THE biggest shot of Tony's career thus far. I agree with everyone as well that the Spurs can improve ALOT even after winning this game. Sure the Heat can improve too, but the Spurs missed a ton of wide open 3's that could have easily gone down...

Two weeks ago I had a heart attack (really!) ... I should not be watching such close games anymore
Heart attack? You had one? Take some Cayenne Pepper daily in your food and fish oil etc. Just what I read alot of times for your heart, look into if if you will! I am not telling you to eat more of it or take it if you can but that is good for the heart. Ginger is too.

Amazing shot, its one of those shots people will talk about 10 years from now. If we win the series, it will be awesome on the championship DVD

tbh thou, it was an ugly win. im surprised we weren't getting blown out at the second and third. biggest heat lead was like what? 10 points?

4th time Heat have lost a Game 1 in the Bosh/James/Wade Era. Heat went on to sweep the next 4 games in each of the previous 3 instances

The Spurs have NEVER LOST an NBA Finals.

A lot of reasons for the win but Tony Parker just authored the smartest basketball game I've ever seen. The Heat built their offense to confuse him and fluster him. He used genius level basketball IQ to know when to push it, when to trust his teammates and how to counteract whatever the Heat did.

when TD came back in and spoelstra left birdman out there, TP just kept getting it to TD who just punished the bird. he was definitely reading the game at a high level last night.

The Spurs only shot 41.7% tonight. To go out and win this game on the road on a night they weren't hitting the three (7-23, 30.4%) is enormous. I still think the Spurs are going to have start really hitting the three to win this series, but to get one on a night when their shot was way off is just beyond huge.
and get out rebounded by Miami.

We won thanks to T/Os limitation and efficiency at the line. I don't believe we will continue to keep T/Os this low, so obviously Spurs need to shoot better the ball but also put more effort on the rebounding side.

2011 Conf Finals vs. Bulls - Miami lost game 1 on the road. All the Bulls did was hold serve.

2012 NBA Finals vs. Thunder - Again, game 1 was a Miami road loss.

2013 Conf Semis vs. Bulls - No Rose, no Hinrich, no Deng. Good effort from the Bulls, but unsustainable given their injury situation.
