Looking at the schedule prior to the season, did anyone honestly believe the Thanksgiving day game between the Packers and Lions could possibly determine the NFC North champ?

Good point. When was the last time a GB-Detroit game determined a division le? Was Bobby Layne QB?

I'm sure Wayne Fonts(sp) was still coaching.

    But, I could be wrong.

Speaking of which, Lion fans are convinced that he was the reason the Lions have stunk for the longest time.

Note that the curse isn't lifted for another 335 days, so there is still plenty of time for a total Lion meltdown as the season closes.

This is a huge game for themthis week against the cardinals. After a big win against Denver, a game like this coming up is one they are supposed to win, so we'll see what kind of team they are if they can win the ones they are supposed to. Especially on the road.

They have some tough games coming up, so this is a definite needed win I think.

If they can get to 7-3 going into the Thanksgiving game, I'll believe.

Still pissed that Fox froze the November 18th Giants game.

That should be the Sunday nighter, not NE/Buffalo.

There are two ways to take that, one is negative, the other one is that Fox didn't want to lose the best game it had on its lineup. I'm going with the latter, as Joe Buck and Troy Aikman can just stay in Detroit that week for the Turkey Day game as well. I'm hoping the Cowboys/Lions game is on Sunday night in December. I hope Dallas being on Sunday night every other week wont be a problem. (I think there is a lim to the # of times you can be on Sunday night)

It is almost guaranteed that the Lions/GB game in Lambeau will be on SNF.

Possibly could be Favre's last game so they won't give up the last opportunity to wrap their lips firmly around his .

The Lions still haven't proven that they can beat a quality team on the road. Some may point to the win at Soldier Field, but the Bears have played like crap there all season. Even the sorry ass Vikings won in Chicago.

The Vikings didn't beat the Bears. Adrian Peterson beat the Bears. And, judging how the rest of his season has gone, he's capable of doing that. The Bears also had gotten a lot of their players back from injury and had acclimated to Griese at QB with a couple wins over Philadelphia on the road (not impressive but still a road win) and a win over Divisional leader Green Bay at Green Bay. Say what you want to say, but that Chicago road win was a quality win for the Lions.

Two road wins in the NFL is no joke. I don't care if both wins are against Miami and St. Louis. Winning on the road in the NFL is no joke.

A win at Lambeau will shut me up, but they still have a lot to prove.

I mean, afterall, they're still the Lions.

Watch them lay an egg in Arizona on Sunday.

Good ol fashion Lions. Do good one week, then play horrible the next. But I guess thats what happens when your best option on one side of the o-line is George Foster who is good for at least 3 false start penalties a game, such as the one that brought back a touchdown pass.

    People are surprised?

Martz called one of the worst games I've ever seen. This loss is squarely on the shoulders of the "genius" and his boytoy, Kitna.

The only good news is that everybody else lost.

The downward spiral has begun. Again, they managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

One question remains: How many games do they win from here on out? 0? 1? 2?

I'm going with 1, leaving them at 7-9.

This team will be better next year with a new OC and some more top flight defensive talent.

Oh, and using CJ more than 40% of the time on offense. Kid should be starting but only played 23 snaps yesterday. That is an obvious misuse of talent, Mr. Martz.

    Same old rodeo...

Ford should just retire...he runs the football team the same as his car company.
