Walker is staying and probably starting. He's the perfect player to give heavy minutes to make sure the team sucks. He's basically the human ping pong ball at this point.

Unless McHale is dumber than I expect, this trade is basically the Spurs paying the Timberwolves to waive Beno. Both teams will profit some money in the transaction.

They sent my Beno to Minnesota.

This stinks. Now I have to root for the Wolves.

Ugh this is going to make a friend of mine so happy cause now I have to root for his team.

    Darn it!

Poor Beno. I hope this trade works out well for him. I'll miss him.

Hate to break it to ya, sweetheart, but Beno's not playing for the Wolves and will likely never wear an NBA uniform again.

If Beno is indeed waived, I'm extremely interested to see where he ends up. Will an NBA team give him a shot? If not, will Beno go to Europe or will he go to the D-League?

I was debating whether to drink today, but this one deserves a toast. I'm proud of this FO right now. They found a way to give someone like Washington a shot.

    Why would they waive Walker??
To give minutes to all the young players they brought in. Why would they want to take minutes away from Brewer and Jefferson for that chump?

Hey Bruno, does trading Beno away save more than $3M for the Spurs? If so, they probably gave the Timberwolves something approaching the $3M maximum.
    Trading Beno saved :
    - $1.75M in salary.
    - $1.3M in Luxury tax
    - between $1.5M and $2M in luxury tax money redistribution.

They save between $4.5M and $5M.

Funny thing is-- if Minnesota waives him then he can still be there tomorrow night to get his ring! Wouldn't put it past him...

sources tell me he was traded for a few paper clips, a stapler, and a broken clock-radio
Pop said the trade also included perks like: a possible second round pick, and Beno getting the F*CK out of SanAntonio

Beno will go make $500k per overseas for about 3 years. Then ride the bench and collect a minumum contract from the Jeruselam team, get fat, and then be out of basketball altogether. 15 years from now he'll be busting people at the Y and talking mad smack.

Hmmmm ... so I'm guessing the Spurs gave between $2M and $3M to make this deal happen.

Either way, still a great deal. I wonder how protected that second round pick is. I'm sure it's amazingly protected. If McHale didn't double bag that pick, this might top all his other bad moves.
