And the Spurs fans weren't the ones in Dallas in 2006 who spit on a 12 year old girl wearing a Spurs t-shirt.
If anyone blames an entire fanbase for the actions of a few idiots, then that person is pretty ing stupid.
And of course because it was Manu and not Jacque Vaughan or Ime Udoka, people are going to take his past antics into account. How can you be so obtuse to think that people that aren't Spurs fans are going to look at that play yesterday as if it exists in a vacuum?

Replace manu with anyone else (preferable a black player)and stack gets 3 games or more....
Kobe, Dwade, and all the greats do that all the freakin time. Shoot, you'll even see Jkidd do it if you'll open up your eyes.

His usual missing tooth parade!?!?! He comes off innocent because of the way he struggles with the English Lanuage?
Mav Fan is reaching and should stop now before he looks like a further![]()
1) The Bad Boys actually tried to injure opposing players. That's a step beyond hard-nosed play. Like I said, there's a reason you can't get away now with the they tried to pull.
2) Basketball is a much more pleasing sport to watch than rugby. I don't want to watch 200-198 Paul Westhead track meets without any defense whatsover, but I also don't want to watch a bunch of pussies compensate for their overall lack of talent by injuring opposing players in lieu of playing basketball.
So, when i don't agree with you, you resort to name calling. Well, I had you better than that but I guess not.
I understand what people think of Ginobili outside the Spurs fan base, I live in the middle of it up here, I just don't happen to agree with it. I didn't say people couldn't think what they want...they can, but I don't have to agree with it and despite your best efforts I am not changing my mind solely to agree with you.
too late if you ask me
it's awesome how Manu is under the WHOLE Mavericks players...
Terry on the last 37 point home win got punked... Josh howard on that same game with the non called flagrant foul during the eternal ownage of Diop now Stack... what a nice collection he is having!![]()
What Bad Boy Pistons tactics do those guys ape?
go to other teams board and try to find ONE that created a thread to support Dirk dumbass... just suck it already you're owned by Ginobili
If you think we're so damned biased, why don't you just listen to how Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson describe it?
Mark Jackson said it was a dirty play (by Stack). He later backed off a bit and said it wasn't a clean play.
Meanwhile, Van Gundy says it was just two NBA players being physical and that he didn't even believe that Manu should've been called with a foul.
So, who's being a homer here?
so youre saying that Manu, who you called scrawny in an earlier post, is strong enough to take down stackhouse with his back to him and no arms around him!?
wow, stack must be the one with a feabile sense of balance (like a toddler learning to walk) rather than Manu or a weak ass player. your call.
My only comment to Mavs fans who think that the play Stackhouse made was justified; Karma always comes back to bite you.
There's a reason the Mavs have folded the last two postseasons and are struggling this season to make it to the playoffs. Watch teams like the Pistons and Spurs who play the right way night in and night out. They don't go out and take cheap shots and smaller players, they don't get easily frazzled, they don't let their childesh emotions get in the way of how they play the game.
If Mavs players knew how to keep their head in the game and acted "less of a man" and more like a good "sportsman" they wouldn't constantly be in the predictaments they're in.
Call me out directly if you're going to, sucker. Say "Shank is reaching". I'm the insane one here. Not the others.
It's not a reach to say Manu does this and then plays innocent. Any casual observer could tell you that, you homer.
to compare Manu to the badboys is silly. Kobe does the same thing in big games. Mavs are str8 up pussies wanna be thugs. There's a reason the greatest point guard in the league can't play with you guys.
Stackhouse is such a thug. He has no game anymore and just relies on being dirty to make up for it. Why the did we resign him?
When Dirk Nowitzki flops and flails its somehow artistic or evidence of greatness. When Manu Ginobili does similar things, only in his balls out style, its dirty.
I guess maybe Manu shouldn't play so hard.
The notion that Spurs fans are oblivious to Manu's chippiness is wrong, I think. But I also think that if Manu played for the Mavericks, the fans who are upset with him would see things very, very differently.
does what, plays hard? He certainly didn't hit Stack in the throat or face.
What other Mav fan did you think she was referring to?? you absolute idiot![]()
Where did I call you a name? All I stated was that you're exhibiting obtuse behavior if you claim that a non-Spurs fan can look at that play without calling to mind Manu's history of creating excessive contact. You know very well that Bowen can't get tangled up in an altercation with Chris Paul without it conjuring up every other controversy he's been involved in, so why is that any different than Ginobili?
Fixed.
if you were the coach of a team that won 67 games last year and you're looking at not making the playoffs this year you'd say some crazy too. AJ's probably hoping he doesn't get fired.
you have monday's off work don;t you?
first rational statement from a mav fan on this thread...![]()
