I've literally read no person on this thread arguing that.
I need to hear Victor chime in on this Magic vs. Curry debate
I've literally read no person on this thread arguing that.
To keep the train off the rails, I think my all-time 5 would be something like this:
Curry, MJ, Lebron, Durant, Timmy
That lineup has it all: shooting, size, IQ, defense.
Who's guarding prime Shaq?
Who would Wemby put in his all time top 5
nobody until he gets on an nba floor
The FT line
Can’t unsee it now
Magic would have pulled a hammy on every defensive possession, his defensive footwork wasn’t good either, with the constant switching and more ground to cover quickly his teams would play 4 vs 5 on defense
Offensively he benefited from playing smaller guards
But taller players who were good defensively really bothered him (Rodman, Pippen)
He wouldn’t be guarded by small unathletic players today
Obviously, but when you benefit from it to an unprecedented degree, it significantly diminishes the accomplishments.
Wrong. Players of Curry's magnitude have an enormous say in whether what was then one of the two definitively better players in the league than him sign with his team. Ultimately, Durant deserves the most criticism for the gutless move, but so to do the Warriors core for not wanting to compete and earn their championships.
Timmy, one of the greatest defenders of all-time.
as if there is some long list of centers who successfully neutralized prime shaq 1 on 1
That would certainly steer this thread back onto the rails.
I always thought Tim defended Shaq better than Dave.
Maybe it was the lower center of gravity that helped keep Shaq from pushing his big butt down low towards the basket as easily.
Why are we discussing Magic vs. Steph for multiple pages in a thread about Victor? I know it’s the off-season but damn![]()
Can the organization please get this man a long sleeve that fits? It looks like the Spurs are just grabbing shirts off the racks at Academy.
Robinson dominated Shaq head to head prior to his back injury.
You're probably right. My memory is a little fuzzy on that, I guess.
I think you said "prime Shaq" and he and Robinson never matched up. It shows how good a defender prime Timmy was.
Sorry but Duncan couldn't guard Prime Shaq. Prime Wilt might have done it.
Not enough fabric in the World.
Except that he did.
