I’m not defending the guy, I just think the Spags hiring and switching from a 3-4 to a 4-3 was re ed.

This may be the biggest collective choke job in NFL history?
Edit: forgot about the falcons a few years ago
IDK about that. Their defense was better this year than Sutton's ty defenses. Only one of Houston's touchdowns so far was the defense's fault, the other two are 100% the special teams' fault.
The Oilers choke to the Bills has to be up there.
Up by 30 something in the playoffs and lost.
Sutton underachieved with what was decent personnel. They had to mortgage their future by trading draft picks for players who fit Spags’ scheme, while a better 3-4 DC could have come in and improved with the players they had.
I was definitely a Spags doubter at first, and you might be right, but it's still tough to argue with the results.
Bigger issue is that they clearly hired him with the Patriots in mind, which looks silly now.
yeah. These 10 yard plays are going to eat up the clock the rest of the game
not so easy to generate a pass rush without Stratham Osi and Tuck all on the same team
I know people like parity and whatever, but Texans- ans has to be the tiest semi finals game in the history of pro sportsit's a Thursday Night Football caliber matchup.
Fluky in a 1-game scenario. Dropped punt return, punt return block, etc.
That was quick. Might be a game after all.
Knew that was going to happen when O'Brien chickened out of going for it on 4th & short.
Also, Watson is such a solid passer and plays well in the pocket, he isn't comparable at all to Lamar. He can run a real offense, doesn't need a gimmick.
Texans might regret not going for that 4th and short.
He also speaks coherent English during press conferences...Lamar Jackson sounds incoherent when he talks.
Will the Texans and Watson suc b to the change in momentum?
