I forgot about Vlad Goldin. Maybe he can be our two-way big?
When watching Wolf he always kind of stood out he is old style center but he I think would be a better backup then we currently have. If we don’t sign a Center I am going to piss off Dejounte and open a “Tank for 2026”. Lol.

They never wanted him. They worked him out so they must not have been that impressed
Or they have been so impressed, that they concluded he will go in the first round.

Anyway, I was ok with trading the pick, but if I had known Maxime would have been available, I rather would have taken him. Wonder if MATFO feel the same way now.

    Correct.

Free agency is the way to go. I think the front office preferred a C with veteran presence.
nothing like that available this year they all suck. Bassey and Mamu best considering price age and talent. We needed to keep 38 and take Raynaud would have been perfect. dude is only guy in dvision 1 who averaged 20/10 not to mention buddies with Wemby

Tim Connelly on trading pick 31: “It was really curious how agent driven the 2nd round became. We called players left & right, and there was 20 deals done before the draft started. It was interesting. No. 31 is fun, but it’s probably not as fun as we thought was gonna be.”

I’m curious if the Spurs decided to wash their hands of the nonsense and that’s why they bailed early. Or maybe agents steered their guys away for some reason.

Yeah if agents are going to influence the second round to that degree I'd say it too. Should reports end up being true

A holdout would be fun drama for this bum, and would also put Ainge in a tough spot. I hope it happens

So from what I understand he can not show up at all and then go back in the draft next season, correct? He can also play overseas if he wants.

A no-show would make him very unpopular in the NBA I'm thinking. Wonder what the deal is with Ace.

Utah owns draft rights. He can play overseas, hold out for a year without signing a contract and become a free agent/be drafted again following year.

Can only negotiate with team that owns draft rights.

If he were to hold out it would be really bad for him career wise.

I don't think Utah will budge

Yeah this is so stupid. Carter and Dylan didn’t get on the same plane either. Are they malcontents? No. Whoever is making these stories up is an idiot.

Let him come to Europe, yes. He will probably be cut quickly. I can't see a team agreeing to bring in a player with no experience and such a deplorable state of mind.

He wanted to play for Washington? Someone send him to Seattle. He will definitely be the star of the SuperSonic.

And if he finally comes after months of no news. Let him be sent to the G-League to teach him respect.

My understanding with the NBA draft rules was that he can only re-enter the draft if he doesn't play basketball anywhere for the next year.

Usually that was enough to dissuade players along with starting their clocks early and getting it over with. But with NLE money guys aren't entering the draft due to financial hardship anymore, they're going to have money in the bank and can take the year unpaid and just work with trainers.

Doubly so in the future for any sons of former players. They'll have family money and nle money and can throw their weight around. The days of getting loans from agents just to afford meals and a suit are probably over m

The other issue here is that Bailey already has over a million dollars in his pocket. In the NIL era situations like this could become more common...players feeling like they don’t have to play by the rules because they already have money.

While watching the @NHL draft they allow people affiliated with/fans of the team announce the picks like the @NFL . That would be a cool thing to do at the @nba draft.

Hoping one day the #NBA draft combine will create a webpage where there are photos of each prospect against the wall like this. You could then select any number of prospects and see the height comparison.
