Except it wasn't Kawhi doing those things, it was his uncle. Which is why Pop wanted to try and salvage it because he is a top 5 NBA player, but he never got the chance to with his wife passing during the post season and not being able to meet with Kawhi before his camp leaked his desire to be traded.
Funny thing is, if they kept quiet, they probably get their guy out of San Antonio or, at the very least, make him 221 million dollars richer. But all this leaking screwed it up. Yeah it hurt the Spurs, but it is hurting their "client" even more. His rep is trash right now. And that isn't the Spurs fault.
