Giovani is going to Villarreal
Nery Castillo is going to Rayo Vallecano..wtf? How did that get picked up by a la liga side?
As a band aid replacement who should take the helm? Olympic Gold medal Tena? Vucetich? I do believe it has to be someone with more than just passing knowledge of the players in the Mexican League...

Unfortunately I didn't, must have been funny thodude but I think the fans are over doing it, throwing at him.. felt kinda sad for that poor soul.

There's no excuse Mexico not winning this, sure thy have their B squad but so does the rest of the national teams, Mexico's are more proven, Chaton, Fabian etcc are all Olympic winners.
This "B" team couldn't even beat Cruz Azul Hidalgo or Queretaro. Doubt they'll be winning this gold cup.

And Nery to Rayo official now too:

still can't believe someone actually signed him. He hasn't done since '07

Gio has always had tremendous potential, playing at a young age in Barcelona ain't no joke, what really frustrates me about him is that when you watch him play in the national team, you can quickly tell he's the most talented player Mexico has by a long shot, the problem is that inconsistency.. I hope he can break out in Villarreal

I think I read somewhere that Nery said he plains on giving his all so he could get a shot at the national team, this is a golden opportunity for him to prove his worth, I also don't have a single clue how they called him, but I like the dude, he has received a lot of throughout his life, hope he can succeed.
The fact that he chose to play for Mexico, and wants to play for Mexico is probably the only worthy attribute he has... the talent may still be in there somewhere. He simply needs to stay healthy, to show appropriate focus and above all, he needs to maintain his composure on and off the field.
I hope both players only improve from this.. we sure could use it.

btw what do you guys think about the idea of players from different nationality joining el Tri? I'm hearing a lot about el Chaco Jiminez possibly joining el Tri now that his a legal Mexican.
I think one of the main issues has been whether that naturalized player is the best player available at his position than a native. If there is a Mexican who is equal or better, then the preference is to give that opportunity to a Mexican. If there is no native that is better then I think a lot of people would not have a problem with having naturalized players on the team.
I personally don't mind.
El Chaco is a damn good player. Lucas Lobos is another who could join the team.
those mercs. Especially fat Chaco, like we need more dinosaurs on the team.
If chepo even considers him he's a bigger got then i thought.
Rafa rustling the jimmies of MLS fans
Rafael Márquez considera 'amateur' a la MLS

Rumor is that the Honduras game in September will determine if Chepo is fired or not.
LOL Amateur league that both Rafa and Nery flamed out of.
Rafa went there to get paid he was already passed his prime, and get paid he did. Dude straight up robbed mlsAnd nery has flamed out every where since '07 nothing surprising there
Just fire his ass now.
