We can all thank Zach Lavine for pulling his trade value out of the dumpster for this
Not yet. Still need a defensive PF/C
The fact that they've maintained their flexibility is really what sets this apart.
Keldon's contract can still be used as salary filler. They DO NOT have to re-sign Sochan to a big deal... even Wesley/Branham are expiring next year and can be used in a trade.
So does this make us the best team in Texas or not yet?
Great deal!! The question now is can fox help us make the palyoffs?
Massive props to B.Wright for getting this done while keeping all of the Hawks picks especially the 2025 one turning into a tasty asset with the recent Atlanta implosion. Basically sent out all of our depressed picks safe for the Minny one which is six years from now when nobody will care when the Spurs are coming off deep WCF/Finals runs..

Yes ,yes
The question is if Paul is going to want to move on. Tre has some value, so it's very possible he needed to be in the deal. But if it was just salary and Paul wants to leave, it would've been a perfect opportunity to move on. If Pop were coaching, I'd feel pretty confident that Fox and Paul would start together. With Johnson, I don't know. As weird as it sounds, maybe Fox comes off the bench the first couple of games. But you'd think Paul would be the bench PG going forward if he's at all willing to do that. If he's not, the plan has to be to trade him, right? They can't waive him and give up a mid-sized expiring with two legit rotational holes remaining.
Let's not forget Victor Wembanyama lol We wouldn't have him without the DJ trade.
Easily best trade in franchise history
this is close to Maverick level fleecing
Absolutely shocked we kept that swap...The type of detail that gives us another good sign about Wright's negotiations skills. His track record in these types of trades has been stellar the past 3-4 years..
I was always making fun of the kings because they missed the playoffs for like 15 straight years, stopped when they made the playoffs a few years back. I guess I can start again. I would suggest to the Sacramento front office Making NBA trades for Dummies on Amazon.
Brian Wright, You did good and earned your gold star ! Now lets see what we can do about a 3rd center.
thank wembys agent
I'd keep an eye on Chicago in the next two drafts - if karma is real/NBA is scripted, facilitating such a lopsided trade means they're probably going to be in line for at least one of Flagg/Boozer/Dybantsa/Peterson, if not two
What’s the plan with Fox’s thumb? Fox has said he’s been taping it since training camp and would need a month off for it to fully heal. Do we just do that now so he’s fully ready to integrate?
I think the Chris Paul of it all now becomes the big question. I don't mind if they start him and Fox together, but I would love if Paul would be willing to play off the bench. But also, I wouldn't be mad if this opens up minutes for Wesley. I'm not sold that Wesley is a bust yet.
I really didn't want to trade the players people here were so eager to get rid of like Keldon and Devin because I think they are still valuable as rotation players (although its clear Devin is overpaid now) because the Spurs desprately need depth but they managed to get rid of Collins and keep most of the depth. Losing Tre kinda sucks, but also one less person who is hesitant to shoot in the rotation. We probably still need to move Devin, but maybe they can actually add players in return that will be helpful in the rotation. Maybe a big?
Second best trade in the last 24 hours.
I read somewhere that he needs surgery.
Man,
thank you sidy! Hate to lose that kid- i get the feeling he is going to be a good nba player…
thanks Tre jones- also hate to see him leave…wish him much success
zollins….well at least he was a good teammate by all appearances and it sucks that he never regained his pre-injury potential…
good luck to him…
im still hoping the spurs trade vassell for another good rotation big tbh
