Telfair, Jaric and no interior defense? I'm pretty sure I can score 10 point on that team from the PG position tonight with no practice. So, I'm not impressed Beno can out score me by 7.
Beno's not a rookie, the expecations should be higher than that by now. And tey're not. That tells you what you need to know. I'll be impressed when he does this for a whole month or two. Not one fluke game against a winless team (EDIT: Winless until last night that is) with the wort PG situation in the world.

Some players when they get into the coaches doghouse and don't play, (especially when they are behind someone like NVE) simply don't understand or respond with the determination to play their way out. Maybe it is a communication problem between them and the coach or maybe it is a problem with their psyche.
There are all sorts of examples of this happening, from not so hot players like Beno to one time all-stars like Marbury and Stevie Franchise.
I can't believe Beno's stat line from last night's game. It has him down with only one turnover??? No way!
Pretty solid performance tonight once again. He had some nice ''clutch''shots in the 4Q. But then in the second overtime he had 2 bad passes.
On nba.com +/-= +10 - second best.
just read page 2 in the paper today and caught up with what beno's been doin. pretty incredible. went from thinkin, yes! we traded him! to oh, damn minni waived him and he's goin to europe, to oh sac picked him up cool, to oh snap he can play? to bad sac wont make the playoffs this year, that coulda been fun.
Im glad he's getting great minutes though.
hes gettin great minutes AND contributing. where was this beno is SA. maybe now he realizes that he doesnt have many lives left ( as he was always a pussy) So hes gettin in shape and workin hard.maybe. but good for him, again i wish sac could somehow make the playoffs this year
He plays for a ty team whose best point guard before he got there was the center.
doesnt mean he plays against " ty" compe ion though. if he keeps it up, he wont just be a good ST joke anymore.
He's played one good team so far and lost by 24.
He will always be a joke as far as the Spurs are concerned.

I have nothing against Beno except he wasted three years of development time the Spurs could have given to someone else.
