dont worry mav fans. keep dirk.

    we kept robinson.

and maybe dirk will get his duncan near the end of his retirement to win on for dallas and dirk.

    ALways believe.

in 96 we were at a tailspin, about to lose the franchise to new orleans, drob was about to go into the books as a choker and failure, but we then got duncan and the rest is history.

    Avery is not the awnser,

    harris was not the awnser,

    diop was not the awnser.

No one is the awnser right now.

just let the marbles fall where they may, and start a new love with your team. Hope for Cuban to rebuild around dirk, and prepare them for an arrival of the next superstar who might be picked up in the draft.

dallas has alot to be excited about.

you still have a rich owner, new barriers to reach, etc.

Spurfans have been down this road before.

You Spurs fans are mean-spirited and pathetic. This is why the rest of the NBA hates you. You will never win back-to-back championships.

I hope you truly believe your fanbase is full of angels. because reality is that we all have a few bad apples in our fanbase and not everything is honkey dorey.

    dont be bitter.

Mavfans are getting more knowledgeable under these cir stances.

atleast you all don't crave nellie ball.

that's a step in the right direction.

O.K. I admit it.. We won't accept you with open arms.. It's too much fun watching you suffer as Maverick fans....

Honestly though, as a Texas sports fans I root for the Spurs first and if they are gone then Houston or Dallas gets my attention, when all three are gone, I'll go with an Eastern team (cause I will never, ever will I root for the Lakers or the Suns!!!)

It was pretty hilarious watching Kidd clank around after Iverson with all the agility of the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz. Pretty clear Kidd prefers his targets stationary, like his wife...

Do you Spurs fans REALLY want that?

I promise you, if I jump ship to the Spurs, they WILL get swept in the first round. I have THAT MUCH bad mojo built up right now.

I have the anti-Midas touch right now. Any team I root for WILL suffer embarrassing defeat and epic failure.
    no! Stay away!

I used to think Mav fans on his board were so arrogant and y. Now after what ya'll have been through, I see who the true fans are, so props for that. And I kind of feel bad for ya'll.

All teams have their good and bad fans. Everyone has their groups of bizzare fans. Although I must say... SpursDynasty is one of a kind though. Never seen someone like him. The Spurs have a very unique fan.

On, and don't forget Ducks. He's just like ol' Jeff.

Try being a Cubs fan sometime. It's worse, trust me. You have no comprehension of the level of suck ude it is to love the losers from Wrigley.
Yep. Decades of mismanagment. A "loser's mentality" from top to bottom of the organization for most of the Tribune/WGN years. Not to mention my personal favorite...

Overspending on mediocre free agents purely because of their performance against the Cubs. This one particularly burns me, because it's not hard to have a good game against the Cubs most years. Of course, once on the Cubs (and hence unable to face Cubs' pitching), these free agents tend to revert to their ( ty) career norms. Sigh...

Being a Pacers' fan is pretty damn annoying as well.

... Man, I have never been so disappointed in this team. I was behind the Kidd trade (*still am, the guy is a true PG, which Harris never was and hadn't shown any spurts of being in the 5 yrs he was here - so I'm still behind it. Kidd was not brought here to be a scorer, he's here to distrubute the ball.... sorry for the rant!)

But... I have watched this team, as much as I can possibly bear to watch, and I have been more disappointed in AJ than I have the team. True - the team does tend to fall apart, but I firmly believe it has SO MUCH to do with AJ's lack of letting the reins go. He has to control every play and every bit of the game. It makes me sick to HEAR him ranting thru my TV!!!!! It pisses me off when I see him treading up and down the side of the court, sometimes even ON the court.

But - enuf of my ranting.... I'm here, still a MAVS fan. Not putting too much stock in this season, patiently waiting on the next....

Hey maybe they will do something amazin and SHOW UP in the playoffs... :p....?

Lloyd: What are the chances of a Dallas making the playoffs?
Mary: Well, that's pretty difficult to say.
Lloyd: Hit me with it! I've come a long way to get here. The least you can do is level with me. What are my chances?
    Mary: Not good.
Lloyd: You mean, not good like one out of a hundred?
Mary: I'd say more like one out of a million.
    [pause]
Lloyd: So you're telling me there's a chance.

A Suns' le would certainly alter my perception of the universe. A Sons le is impossible -- it will never happen. If the impossible happened, either it's a miracle, or the the fabric of the universe would no longer hold together. 2+2 would = 5, etc.

All those punches to the groin might prevent you from even having kids. Just think, you might have to watch some dude your just to have kids and it's all Avery's fault.
