Its funny when Duncan posts up Scola, and Scola is holding his breath with his cheeks puffed out, and an "oh " look in his eyes. lol.
Oberto > Kurt Rambis

i'm an argie and i'm a spurs fan since 1998 (way before manu got to the spurs) and lots of argies said that are tired of the scola thing (me included) besides many of the guys that whine 'bout the trade aren't even argentines.
generalize is a very stupid thing to do so try not to do it.
Too bad they put Mutombo on Duncan not Scola...
why are there so many threads about this average player?
Scola was on Duncan at times.
It looks more like a camel.
Not so true, the players you named have something in common besides their nationality, they all have something to do with Spurs. Anyway this thread is senseless, Scola is a good player, it is bad not to see him playing along with Manu and Fabri but ... Spurs will be the NBA champions and we (the argies) will be here for the championship party.![]()
Shhhh.
Don't tell to the Corporate guys in here.
Let them pretend they get payed for posting.
Scola guarded Duncan enough for them to conclude they didn't want Scola guarding Duncan.
Good game for him otherwise.
Truth is that the Scola trade was a horrible one. Scola is playing better than I thought he would. If he grows in the NBA at the same rate as Manu and Nocioni did, he's going to be a stud. Spurs f'ed up. If you hear Pop talk about it, he knows the Spurs f'ed up. Basically the Spurs wanted to save some money ... they just went about it the wrong way.
At this point, I have to let it go. I've been b!tching about the trade for eight months or however long it's been. The Spurs were able to acquire Kurt Thomas, who makes missing out on Scola sting less.
And really, for this team this year, I want Duncan, Manu and Parker shooting as much as possible. The Spurs don't need an offensive minded bigman at the moment. The less everyone outside the Big Three has to shoot, the better. That's like the people who complain about Bowen not being a scoring option not realizing that Bowen shooting less means more shots for the Big Three.
I might be an Oberto homer but I take offense to the le of this thread. I trust Oberto to come up big in the playoffs ... just like I trusted him to come up big last year. He's a big game player who only seems to play better when the pressure is on. When Robinson retired, Oberto was the player I wanted to replace him in 2004. In the 2008 playoffs, I'm expecting even more from Oberto.

Agreed with almost everything you said.![]()
I'd be willing to bet anything I'm more of a Spurs fan than you. Next time, take your generalizations and shove them up your ass!
Scola was burned horrible
WTF game were you watching!??!
-------> What are you talking about ? , when Scola was defending TD the spurs game was external, from 3p and outside the paint , so ... how can you say that Scola was burned if TD most of the time doesnt have the ball when Luis was defending him ?¿?
