It's the job of the head coaches to lobby the refs to get the calls their way. I don't see anything wrong in that at all. To claim the Spur's organization holds some sort of moral high-ground is ridiculous.

I think Stern might disagree with you that it's the head coaches' job to constantly impugn the competence or integrity of NBA referees in post-game interviews.

Lobbying the refs for calls is a lot different than questioning the integrity of the NBA. I haven't seen Phil do the latter once this season.

If you are talking about during a game...BOTH teams are guilty. Outside the game neither team's players have ed about the officiating.

Lobbying the refs for calls post-game is weak stuff and Phyllis is the worst offender. He constantly challenges the competence of the refs which is not good for the game's integrity. One more Spurs win, particularly if the Spurs get calls, and Phyllis will be back on the podium whining.

Meanwhile, Kobe is playing with an avulsed ligament fracture in his shooting hand which should have had surgery already, but he is deferring until after the Olympics because he's so compe ive (or hard-headed,depending on your viewpoint).
