If Hillary is the future of the Democratic Party then they are just as out of touch with real progressives as the GOP leadership is to most conservatives
They aren't out of touch. They just don't care.

Go on pretending there is any difference between the two political parties.

A Clinton Superdelegate Just Confirmed He Has Zero Loyalty to Voters

A Hillary Clinton superdelegate has the worst argument yet for going against his state’s voters.

In a recent interview, Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper admitted that superdelegates, who are not required to follow the popular vote at the Democratic National Convention, are told to ignore the will of voters.

“The superdelegates are specifically told … you’re supposed to look at not the vote but the person who you think is best ready to be president,” Gov. Hickenlooper told USA Today.

Twitter Just Responded to Hillary Clinton’s Refusal to Debate Bernie Sanders

Hillary Clinton suggested the reason she wouldn’t debate Bernie Sanders in New York was due to his “tone.” The internet isn’t buying it.
On Twitter, the hashtag #ToneDownForWhat (which plays off the the name of the ubiquitous Lil Jon party anthem “Turn Down for What“) took the former Secretary of State to task for her campaign’s official response to Sen. Sanders’ debate challenge. For instance, one Twitter user aptly noted that had the shoe been on the other foot and if Sanders had been the one to accuse Hillary Clinton of having a particular “tone” to her campaign, he would have been labeled as sexist.

As US Uncut reported earlier today, a Clinton campaign strategist told CNN in a live interview segment that Sen. Sanders’ campaign ads had a negative tone to them, and that until he changed his tone, Clinton wouldn’t be agreeing to a debate in New York.

Twitter let Clinton know that Sanders’ “tone” was far shy of what she could expect from Donald Trump in a general election matchup, or from ISIS if she were to be elected president and have to contend with the terrorist group running amok in the Middle East:

    Goodbye Third Way ‎@goodbyethirdway

"You should be willing to debate any time; anywhere." -@HillaryClinton #ToneDownForWhat

^The democratic party has given in too many Bernie demands. It's enough.

They keep bending over backwards to give him a platform in July and he goes on a rant about how the convention will get messy and now is contesting Kentucky.

This guy is worst than Trump when it comes to losing.

No ... that's why they're super-delegates and not pledged delegates.

Lol comparing Bernie and Trump. He causes circus behavior even when he wins uncontested. Youre as intellectually dishonest as liberals come, or should I say, neoliberals.

The real hilarity of avoiding foreign interventionary wars; leading the charge for passing legislation to give our leaders the power break up the biggest banks if deemed necessary; closing tax loopholes for the rich; fighting for a higher minimum wage during a period of downward momentum and government safety nets run amok; taxing the rich a high percentage during a time of war and historic debt; rebuilding our roads and bridges - and the most far reaching and important battle of all, that perhaps futile yet honorable attempt at reversing the de able use of American sanctioned slave labor under the banner of free trade: these arent even far left wing policies.

    Theyre just common ing sense.

But here you are, the perfect neolib microcosm of any given CNN comments section, whining vaguely as usual about the democratic platform already being "progressive" enough, about how the democrats are bending over too far for that socialist. No no no, that will not do! The game never changes. The circle goes round and round, til all is ground to dust.

When - if - history finally passes judgment on you...you and the rest of your neoliberal brethren will find yourselves standing shoulder to shoulder with the very an hesis of progressive , nay, sensical thought.

Yes, shoulder to shoulder your "liberal" majority will be shown with other "tough on crime" racists who perpetrated a campaign of injustice against the poorest and least educated citizens in our country. furthermore, you all will be seen smiling at your leader's reach across the aisle while a mass of poor, uneducated sub 90 iq "citizens" whose families you eternally pay lip service to on voting day learn to live and die behind iron and steel. This first great movement of new liberals worships Clintons, not even flinching when so called justice multiplies the feared super predator numbers exponentially.

You will be a majority depicted cowering before those who disenfranchised voters en masse, all the while demanding austerity for all but the rich and powerful in this country's darkest era other than the 2nd WW - 15 years of war, 20 trillion and counting borrowed on your good faith.

You will be shown marching in lockstep behind so called enlightened ones who paid lip service to the " folk," opposed living wages from corporations whose bottom line depends upon both the government teat, opposed vesting power in the representatives of the people to break up TBTF en ies, and who opposed bringing justice to the criminals responsible for the evaporation of the wealth of millions.

And like Orwellian pigs, you will have become indistinguishable from the monsters of yesterday.

A hundred years from now students attending higher education ins utions for a fraction of today's costs per hour will ask their professors why the neoliberals allied with neocons on a common front for oligarchs utterly opposed to the upward momentum the majority of both groups would directly benefit from.

"What motivated your actions?" one student may ask of our generation's bones that far off day. "Were you all unaware of the undeniable decline of the country's middle class, of the billions profited turning vulnerable and petty alike into hardened criminals, of the grandiose transfer of wealth to the elite, of the crushing debt of college degrees, of the assail upon your very livelihoods by the richest among us?"

"Can you truly plead ignorance to these, to the degradation of the real, tangible privileges Americans once demanded as the most industrious and free population on earth? At what point or points did you align yourselves with the work of shilling and war and debt, so that we may learn and the mistakes made at the turn of the millenium will not be repeated?"

Perhaps in the future, im wrong, and it shall be your brethren who sow your seeds and perspective far more abundantly to the four winds. Maybe it is those like me who will be found insane, the fringe who will be pondered as the fools standing against inevitable crushing debilitating progress.

Not likely, of course - such distraction reduces the efficiency of a serf.

“Networks are Colluding” to Declare Clinton the Overall Winner Before California Polls Close

When a grown man tells you he is about to start trouble, believe him.

What followed, if Matthews is to be taken at his word, is

clear evidence that television networks are colluding together to call the primary for Hillary Clinton before she reaches the delegates needed to claim victory. By doing so, they will absolutely suppress the vote in the final states that will be cast ballots in the Democratic primary.

Even by mentioning it now, that the networks have already set the date and time they are calling the race for Hillary, what Matthews has done runs the very real risk of suppressing voter turnout. It’s disgusting.

That date and time is 8:00 pm Eastern time, 5:00 pm Pacific time, on June 7, the night of the California primary. (Also the night of five other primaries or caucuses and the last-but-one night of Democratic Party voting.)

Here’s the Matthews quote from the video above:

MATTHEWS: This what I call “trouble,” [what] I’m about to start [saying or asking] here.

I’m told by the experts on numbers around here on NBC and elsewhere that come June 7, the day of the California primary — which your candidate [pointing to Jeff Weaver], I totally understand, wants to get to and maybe has a chance to knock off Hillary at that event, a big last hurrah — that at 8:00 that night Eastern time, that the networks will be prepared, including this one, to announce that Hillary Clinton has gotten over the top, that she will have won the nomination in numbers. It’s done.

What will that do to turnout, if that’s 5:00 Pacific time with three more hours to vote in California? Who will be least likely to vote,
Sanders people from five to eight [o’clock] or Hillary. I’ve heard both theories.

Weaver answers the question in the only way that makes sense — that the announcement will be wrong, because the superdelegates don’t vote until the convention.

But that’s not the point here. Forget Matthew’s foolish question (“What will that do to turnout?”) and read the intro to it.

If Matthews is right, so is my headline, and so is Shaun King.

The establishment, corporate-owned “networks are colluding” to declare Hillary Clinton the overall Democratic winner before California polls close.

And they know it will affect turnout; they just aren’t sure whose.

    http://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2016/...+capitalism%29

BigFinance bought Hillary, and they're damn sure gonna take delivery.

Bernie is 2 points behind Hillary in Cali.

The above collusion to suppress voting could certainly make difference in CA.

Nothing new. The networks have had a bias for Shillary all along. They called AZ after early votes were counted really early even though people were in line till after midnight.

To be fair, they do that only when the win is a landslide.

She ended up winning Arizona by nearly 20 points.

Sure, if we ignore the fact that Maricopa county, which favored Bernie, mysteriously had a huge drop off in voter turnout. Not to mention all the people that likely went home due to the long lines+networks calling the race so early (again Bernie had the edge in day of voting).

Most people just vote for her because they're dumb n!ggers or because they recognize the Clinton name more than they recognize Sanders or because they heard Sanders is a socialist

Shadowflamer must be a special kind of re to actually like her and think she's a good candidate who represents working class Americans

NJ is a sure thing my nig.

Losing California would be embarassing as .

Specially when Sander is down to like 6 millions and she has 30 millions on hand apparently.

In the latest FEC filing, Sanders was shown to have raised $26.9 million in April but spent $38.6 million. That leaves him with $5.8 million left in his campaign war chest. Meanwhile, his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton raised $25 million in April and spent $23.9 million. That left her going into the next month with $30 million to play with, nearly five times the amount that Sanders has.
If you lose that state with that much money left, kill yourself.

The super delegate primary is worth 714 delegates this year, 15% of the total pool of delegates.

They aren't bound and haven't voted yet. They won't vote in the super delegate primary until July 25-28.

If Bernie sticks with it until the convention, the race will continue not with appeals to common voters, but with appeals to the super delegates. Bernie will make his case as to why he is the stronger candidate and Hillary will seek to prevent defections in the shadow of an FBI criminal investigation.

We'd have about a month and a half of the leg of the race. A lot of news and headlines will come and go.

It will be interesting, for sure. Will there be any cracks in the super delegate damn from Hillary to Bernie? Doubtful at this point.

Meanwhile, the repub convention is a week prior to the Dem's. Trumpy and some scary doofus (Kim Jong un?) will accept he bat nomination.

I wonder if/when Hillary will announce her VP?

I can see serious pressure and calls for Bernie to drop. But he has nothing to lose and everything to gain by staying in. He has the leverage. He's the thorn in the DNC's side that they want to go away. But he has the support of over 10 million voters. Only two candidate have every received more Democratic votes in a primary: Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama.

Why does Sanders do better than Clinton against Trump?

The focus of this analysis is voters who support Sanders, but not Clinton, against Trump

The data suggest Clinton will have a hard time winning over this group of Sanders supporters because of the reason they didn’t choose Clinton over Trump: opposition to Clinton.

More than six in 10 Sanders but not Clinton supporters said the most important reason for their vote choice was because of opposition to her.

This is far higher than either consistent partisan group’s reason for selecting their candidate: 32 percent of consistent Trump supporters picked him in opposition to Clinton and 34 percent of consistent Democrats picked Clinton in opposition to Trump.

The notion that party-abandoning Democrats are the reason Sanders does better against Trump is just not supported by the data.

The analysis shows they are moderate, non-partisan voters who dislike both candidates but are most intense in their feelings about Clinton.

This presents a real challenge for Clinton and provides some evidence that 2016 Democratic voters might not stay true to their party as they did in 2008. History may repeat itself and Clinton may find a way to bring these voters to her side, but the task is potentially taller.

Hillary is nearly as hated/disliked as much as Trash.

Dem delegates will probably nominate Hillary, the WEAKER opponent against Trash.

Amazing that she could be the next Pres. Trash certainly won't be.

Everyone should have known from the start it would be Trump vs. Hillary. Bernie is an FDR democrat which basically means he doesn't belong in today's democratic party as ins uted by the establishment. Just look at the super-delegate vote count. He was never going to win unless he romped Hillary and that wasn't going to happen.
