Morris made sense here, just because of the overlap with Gay and the fact that he shoots 3's just about well enough to somewhat compensate for losing Bertans' 3P shooting. He's not nearly enough to lift the Knicks out of their self-made pile.
Dude leaves a contender where he would get more mins to showcase himself and joins a loser with a surplus at his position all over just 1.2 mil more which will be negated by state tax.

And the Spurs have a ready Belinelli replacement for two years so they can aggressively shop him for a bigger player.
As I said, not ideal but better than nothing minus Bertans, which is what the Spurs have now.

It's time for this organization to grow a pair of balls and stand up for themselves. If they're not already, they should be working the back channels with the league office trying to get them to discipline the Knicks in some sort of way.
