Oh, and I get a good laugh everytime I hear the prayer end with "Amen" .... they don't realize Amen = Amen-Ra/Amun-Ra and that the ancient egyptian traditions of saying Amen transferred into the roman empire and filtered down into roman catholic tradition, which has now been carried on to ALL christian denominations including protestants

Actually, Steve, evolutionary theory does not postulate that we descended from monkeys. That is a very common misconception.

Humans are actually apes, and do share some common ancestor with the other primates.

Monkeys and humans can be thought of as cousins on the tree, and not parent/offspring. At some distant point in the past we had a common ancestor with modern monkeys but that is a long time ago.

We are more closely related to apes, think more of a sibling relationship than with monkeys.

Neither analogy is exact, but this learning tool will get you a step closer to actually understanding what the theory actually says.
