didn't get to catch the game but I saw Tim had 4 ft attempts!? phx had 15 more attempts than spurs. May be legit but seemed like it would have been a little more balanced.

Good acting by Nash after he hit the ground. I thought a sniper in the crowd might have it him afterwards.

Quit being such a JMarks. Why is it a flagrant 2 when Horry does it, but when Nash and Raja do it, it's great D?

He's just calling you all for the ing hypocrites that you are.
Do you read my posts? Why the are you lumping me in with some? I've never condoned anything like this. You won't even bother, because you're all talk, but you find me one post where I condone anything like this, or called anything like this "great defense" by the Suns.

Do it. i'll save you the time, there aren't any.

I've been plenty civil here. I never whined this entire series. I congratulated for you adjustments and wins and never once complained. Look it up. You being a lazy bum of a post, relying on ignorance and team profiling just makes you look like the schmuck you are.

Horry goes hockey on Nash, and you're celebrating because two Suns players reacted on their first instincts, crossed the line, and are likely to be suspended? You call me a ?

    Yeah, way to go...

Nash gets even more respect in my eyes.

I still say Spurs in 6.

And you know what, if Spurs fans want to about the refs after this game so be it, because we actually have something to back it up with.

I'm just pissed that Horry's actions are going to overshadow that.

Suns were a LOT better than the Spurs in the 4th. The Suns stole the momentum and the Spurs didn't fight back.

    Spurs -10 RBs

    Spurs -10 FT pts.

Spurs totally choked this game away, BUT DO NOT GIVE UP this series is definately NOT over. SPURS are stronger than this. We'll get back into it.

Also, just wanna say props on a great win Phoenix fans. There may have been some questionable calls in the game, but I think all in all the Spurs got outplayed in crunch time. Benching Duncan was a totally idiotic move. Pop's coaching sucked HARD tonight. Like someone said earlier I think Pop over coached this game calling that timeout in the second quarter when it looked like we could have blown them out at that point was a bad move, plus that time out could have come handy at the end of the game.

Haha, in retrospect, it is kind of amusing and obvious that Nash was a former soccer player. He gets checked by Horry, falls to the ground looking like, "Oh god, he hit me... it's all over.... everything... going... black....."

*5 second dramatic pause, in which time Nash realizes that there are no red cards in basketball*

    Section VII—Fines
    a. Recipients of technical fouls for unsportsmanlike conduct will be assessed a $500 fine
for the first offense, and an additional $500 for the second offense in any one given game, for
a minimum total of $1,000. If a player is ejected on (1) the first technical foul for unsportsmanlike
    conduct, (2) a punching foul, (3) a fighting foul, (4) an elbow foul, or (5) a flagrant
foul, he shall be fined a minimum of $1,000.
    b. Whether or not said player(s) is ejected, a fine not exceeding $50,000 and/or suspension
may be imposed upon such player(s) by the Commissioner at his sole discretion.
    c. During an altercation, all players not participating in the game must remain in the
immediate vicinity of their bench. Violators will be suspended, without pay, for a minimum of
one game and fined up to $50,000.
The suspensions will commence prior to the start of their next game.
A team must have a minimum of eight players dressed and ready to play in every game.
If five or more players leave the bench, the players will serve their suspensions alphabetically,
according to the first letters of their last name.
If seven bench players are suspended (assuming no participants are included), four of
them would be suspended for the first game following the altercation. The remaining three
would be suspended for the second game following the altercation.
    d. A player, coach or assistant coach, upon being notified by an official that he has been
ejected from the game, must leave the playing area IMMEDIATELY and remain in the dressing
room of his team during such suspension until completion of the game or leave the building.
Violation of this rule shall call for an automatic fine of $500. A fine not to exceed $50,000
and possible forfeiture of the game may be imposed for any violation of this rule.

So when the Spurs lose it's the refs, but when the Suns lose it's not? BS! Series would be over if it weren't for the refs saving your sorry ass in your 2 wins!

This is not the end. We totally blew this game in more ways than one and will be without Horry for Game 5. I still believe the Spurs will win Game 5 and come back to finish the series at home.

What a bad feeling. I am embarrassed by Duncan's play in the second half of the last quarter. He made very stupid mistakes, and he was laughing about it. Parker did a lousy job of running the offense the last critical minutes. Ginobili was playing timidly again. How could such an experienced team give up a double digit lead like that?
    I feel cheated.

all i know is that every mav fan accusing baron davis of flopping was chastised for "minimizing" what Terry did.....now all of a sudden minimizing what Horry did is okay just because of some BS calls in the 4th and Diaw & Amare naturally reacting to their leader getting mauled?

I agree. Horry definitely committed a flagrant, but Steve Nash should win Best Actor in a Melodramatic Role for that ridiculous overreaction. He was splayed out like a murder victim.

A key point to this game was the third quarter-- it looked like the Spurs had really dominated-- the defense was tough- the shots were falling- but when all was said and done the Spurs had only outscored Phoenix by 3 points in that quarter. They should have been able to pull away but never did.

Also give Phoenix some due-- they outrebounded the Spurs by 10 (plus another 8 in team rebounds)-- Oberto had 3 rebounds- Horry- 1- and Bowen 0. Marion grabbed 12 and Barbosa 7. For all the talk of the Spurs defense, the Suns starters shot 53%.

My main note is that Barry should have stayed in the game.

As to Horry- remember this is the man who hit David Robinson in the family jewels.

Horry reacted according to what he has experienced over the years.

He's ready for the backlash, no doubt.

It was calculated and it's "value" will bear out in the coming days; his motivation will be made known.

So then I take it Aggie and his whining and delight in the ensueing suspensions for Amare and Diaw make Aggie more of a hack, than a Spurs fan?

Since the real fans are classy. I know plenty of them. Many here. Aggie and his garbage need to be called out by a few of these "real" Spurs fans.

Or is his fandom secured because just as I can do everything right on this board with reference to not whining, not condoning Raja's garbage, and being real on every topic and still be labeled a whiny when I want Horry out after his antics tonight, is he able to remain a true fan despite doing most everything wrong, handling himself is a whiny, completely weak sister manner, delighting in a BS foul that's aftermath all but wraps up the series for the Spurs based off an unfortunate gut reaction from two of the Suns best frontcourt players?

Is that how you "real" Spurs fans want to win? On the heals of a technicallity based off a reaction any one of us would likely fail to suppress in the heat of an emotional come-from-behind win on the road to tie up a legacy-defining series?

I you delight in beating less than the best than the opponant can offer, then you're just pathetic and undeserving of any "real" le, unless of course said le includes "a" and " " being the bookends to "real".

Again, I love this site, but way too many jump on opposing fans when they defend the few same-team bretheren around here, yet you guys all do th same thing. When someone crosses the line, where the correction? I'm not saying mod anyone's stuff, but if it's weak, then address it as such.

Whatever. Maybe I had this place and several of its great posters all wrong. I guess a loss really exposes the true colors of people. Lord knows, when I lost it, I reacted in a way I was rather ashamed of. I apologize.

    Forget it..

Congrats on the series win. You really will deserve it :

The series is done. Suns in 7. It was a good run, but Manu hasn't had it. Pop can't coach in crunch time because of his refusal to adjust. It'll be an interesting off season.

Man you people sure lose hope quick! Newsflash people its a 2-2 series now. Sure it sucks that we blew it in the 4th quarter. And probably tommorow all the "basketball analyst" are going to be saying that the Suns are just the faster, younger team, have the momentum now, spurs can't cut it blah, blah, blah,. If Phx would have blew us out at home maybe I'm worried. We played like complete A-holes in the 4th and nearly won the damn thing. Alot of missed layups, questionable shots, alot of things that add up to this lost. Not to mention the fact that anytime you somehow have Bowen against Amare down in the post during the last minutes of the game has to prove that our execution was really off tonight. Don't worry it's not like last year when we f'ed up in game 7. NOW we know we have to close teams out now instead of getting all complacent and comfortable with a lead.

Maybe Horry had some longterm strategy here (but I doubt it). He deliberately did this in full view of the Suns bench knowing they'd come charging and thus getting a couple key players suspended for game 5. It's a theory...maybe a bad one, but I wonder.
