We both go to UA so we're referring to the school rec center. Xylus said it best, every pickup basketball stereotype you can think of can be found at that place.
Wooooo!! Now tomorrow Suns have to win vs Jazz. Let's go Suns!!

So DoK is rooting for the Suns to get in again?
At this point, sure why not.
Weak draft class + Stevie Kerr = 1st round pick winning D-league MVP in a few years.
Gay. My brother goes to UA. Stupid Budinger finally decided he didn't want to play like a Streisand in the tourney this year and screwed me over.
If your brother's name is Joe and is extremely fat, tell him to lose some in weight and learn how to follow the 3 in the key rule.
His name isn't Joe, but I'll tell you that he's putting on more than just the freshman 15. I've been there myself (just lost about 35 lbs of fat that I put on from age 21-24), but he's such a fatty now that I doubt he's even seen the rec center yet.
LMAO, when I space out occasionaly I think "Sweet they got Carmelo!!.... Awe crap it's Dudley" That was with the dreads.
I'm liking this guy more and more. I loved the look on Lebron's face a few games back that said "How dare you guard me!" Lebron got his but I could tell it pissed him off that a scrub would not back down.
If Stromile Swift had half the energy and heart that Amundson has, then we wouldn't even miss Amare with the way Shaq is playing.
I'm pretty much thinking this is an LSU thing since Tyrus Thomas is an equally lazy malcontent.
yeah, UA is bad in that department. I started this semester, and I graduated HS really in fat and lost 55 pounds from August-December. All my friends who had been at school for a semester went from being way skinnier to fatter than me.
Yeah that's a good point Ty Thomas and Stro Swift are like the exact same player, they both have as much talent as one can ask for but they are both about as lazy as it gets.
Agree completely. If you ever read David Thorpe's chats on ESPN, he's the biggest Ty Thomas apologist I've ever seen. Apparently, Thomas works out with Thorpe in Orlando in the offseason and is a "great kid, with a lot of heart who gets a bad rap." I think after 3 years in the league, a "bad rap" turns into "an accurate representation of your career."
On a side note, Thorpe is one of the worst analysts I've ever read on that site and I think he only has a job because he looks like that guy from the Brady Bunch.
My friend is a Bulls fan and he practically nutted himself when the Bulls traded Lamarcus Aldridge for him (I still give him for that) and back when Kobe was demanding a trade he was actually mad they might involve Ty Thomas in a trade for Kobe. He is literally Stro Swift pt. 2.
And yeah, being lazy doesn't mean you're an asshole, it just means you're lazy. Greg Oden really has no interest in playing basketball, but everyone knows he's a nice guy.
Rocko (NY): Reggie Miller said Tyrus Thomas SHOULD be able to get 10 blocks in a game off athleticism alone. Do you agree?
David Thorpe: (12:38 PM ET ) Second dumbest thing I've heard or seen all year-the dumbest was the comment made in ESPN's Magazine that a college team could beat a bad NBA team. Please.
Ok, it's common knowledge that Reggie Miller is dumber than Chad Ford, David Thorpe, Bill Walton, and Skip Bayless combined.
I'm talking about when people rip on Thorpe/Thomas when he makes seemingly no progress each season and grudgingly attends the dunk contest to "get a paycheck."
But you have brought an interesting discussion into the mix... do you guys think there is an NCAA team out there that could beat any of the bottom 4 teams in the league? Factors such as matchups, neutral courts, time of year, rules, etc could all apply but I'd like to know what you guys think.
If you had college rules in effect (40 min, 2 halves, 5 fouls, 10 second backcourt, closer 3 pt line), I think UConn could probably beat the Clippers with a packed house in Hartford at least 33% of the time.
I'd like to see Thorpe in 1955: "the dumbest thing I've heard all year is that a team of white guys from rural Indiana could beat a bigger, more athletic team from Indianapolis; and then they'd turn this into a movie. Please."

Skip Bayless is the coolest guy in ESPN. Everytime he tears screamin A Smith a new asshole on first take he should earn a medal.
Alright, you have made a valid point: Stephen A. Smith is dumber than Skip Bayless. But you have to remember that Skip did write a "tell-all" Cowboys book when he lived in Dallas that exposed Troy Aikman as an alleged gay man.
I think both Skip and S.A.S. are gay. The reason I say that is they both have that fruity speak as loud as possible because I want to be the center of attention personality.
Hmmm... I think we could find some posters that are like that (most of them would be UTSA "fans" and Laker fans).
I don't spend time in the college forums at all but yeah some people here (coughSpurDynastycough) just say ridiculous crap to get people's attention.
SpursDynasty is purely a humor diversion for me these days.
America, eatin' my lunch from a single bowl in my parents basement, where I'm livin'. Happy Birthday, I'm forty-three.
Don't want to waste those precious calories...chewin'. Jesus come move my jaw for me, help me get my sloppy food down my throat.
