sounds like you ended up drafting well last year!
It's just such bad trolling that you don't even see what you do.

Standard ESPN league. My roster is as follows:

    QB: Peyton Manning/Andrew Luck
WR: Calvin Johnson, Demaryius Thomas, Marques Colston, Dwayne Bowe, and Michael Crabtree.
RB: Frank Gore, Shonne Green, Michael Bush, Peyton Hillis, LaGarrette Blount, and Beanie Wells.
    TE: Rob Gronkowski
    Defense: Chicago Bears
    Kicker: Dan Bailey

I picked up Bush and Wells through free agency, so Im happy about that. I probably could use another TE, but that'll come later. What is everyone's thoughts on the roster?

@DPG, solid roster. Philip Rivers should have a bounceback season after last years lackluster campaign. Cutler is not a bad choice either. Carson Palmer could be a steal if he develops a good chemistry with his offense. He had flashes of good play last season. You have a great running back core, but Forte may not get as many points due to Bush possibly being a goal line back. In addition, the Matthews injury kind of sucks, but he should be a good back throughout the season. Spiller will be good if Jackson were to go down, and Brown did pretty well with the Colts last season, even with how bad the QB situation was.
Your wide receiver lineup is a bit weak. Miles Austin is always a good pick, but DeSean Jackson is a risk. He and Maclin both would cancel each other out quite a bit fantasy wise last season, so be prepared for some weeks of low stats.

All in all, I'd say you have a good team.
I'm not big on your QB's, but obviously with Peyton there is great potential. Your #1 & 2 wideouts are very soild, but I'd be concerned with the RB core. Having Gronk is huge, but I'd be concerned with my QB/RB situation and look for opportunities to hit up waivers for a QB and be on the lookout for a trade for a RB.

Re: my roster: I got Palmer with the 14th pick in the draft so I feel that was really good value and I am hoping he plays well because I will have great back ups and potential to trade Cutler/Palmer and still be solid (I'll roll with Philip most every week and I think he will pay off).

Matthews I got with the last pick of the 3rd so I didn't want to grab him but I felt that essentially the 4th round was just too much to pass up. WR's definitely are my weakest spot IMO on paper, but I had to be a little weaker somewhere and felt I at least got solid wide recievers although not spectacular with Austin/Jackson/Harvin

@Gira: Great QB which is huge, plus your back up has high upside although risky. Running backs are solid, not spectacular, but still good with McFadden/Charles/Jackson (although there is risk with Charles). WR's are a little weak and a lot will depend on Peyton obviously.

I agree on the QB situation. I grabbed Peyton with hopes that he'd return to excellence. However, if he goes down, Ill be in quite a bit of trouble. Luck should be good, but he probably won't be huge fantasy wise for a couple of more years. Carson Palmer is available in free agency right now, so Im keeping an eye on him. More than likely Blount will be the one I drop for him. My RB is certainly weak. I ran with WR a bit early in the draft, and Gore was the "best" available at the time. Im definitely keeping an eye on FA right now. Hoping a nice gem shows up early in the season. If anything, Im hoping Hillis will be great.

Carson for 14th isnt bad at all. If he performs well, he'll definitely be a great steal/trade bait for you. Greg Little, upon review, may be a good pickup as well. He's one of the few decent WR on the Browns, so maybe he'll have a good year IF the Browns get their QB situation sorted out. I don't know what the other rosters in your league are, but from that, you should have a good shot at playoffs if your players stay healthy.

Wasn't trolling. Was straight up making fun of some of your picks.

You don't see how sensitive you are. No wonder you have been beaten up so badly lately downstairs.

I went with upside more than what happened last year, and from what I've heard and read about certain players (Charles, Martin, and Jones). I really gambled on quite a few picks but I think the reward could be huge.

You weren't making fun of anything. You did the same thing last year only to come around and say "actually, it was good", then you disappeared as I was in first place most of the season and in the finals

Also, you talking about getting "beat up" is hilarious. But again, I won't make fun of you because don't think it's cool - but I can see why others do all the time.

Was this some inside joke or real ?
    It was serious unfortunately.

    There's a reason I'm taking a 1 year hiatus from fantasy football

Last year's abortion however didn't stop me from being optimistic about the Patriots' scondary again this year.

This is my 2nd year in fantasy FF. Normally I just play Fantasy Basketball, but I enjoyed FF. It's a lot more up and down due to the injuries and shorter seasons though, but it's fun.

I always have a mediocre (at best) draft and when I have the time to throw at it always do better than anyone else with trades and waiver wire pick ups. In 2010 I had a mediocre draft but won my league because I picked Peyton Hillis and Brandon Lloyd up off waivers.

I had a similar 2010 season. Absolute ty draft, but I picked up Vick, Lloyd, and Hillis off of waivers. Too bad my season was ended due to losing in the playoffs by 5 points. Never did have a great defense that season...
