you never answered the OP tbh ..... Michael Finley for me , pick your own scrub
I would definitely pick Udoka from a page I saw on him with about 400 pages when we signed him lol. He was never nearly as good on D as I thought he would be nor could shoot really well. Finley still hit some big shots though I disagree but to each his own.

I really don't remember Finley being that bad..
I don't get it either, he hit the most threes in a playoff game for the Spurs in their history and it's a game we needed! He also hit a ton of threes in that le run we had in 07. I remember his dunks against Dallas in 06 and his threes as well, he brought it in that series vs. his old team which most try too hard or just fail to show up. He also hit that three to send it to OT against PHX right? Fins hit some shots here, that alone makes him above some other clown on the list who never hit a big shot in the playoffs. I remember Finley against the Kings in that Kevin Martin freak layup game too, he hit some huge shots to get us back in it.

I think some are talking the later Finley who stayed and started too long, before that he was good.

I would like to say RON MERCER as well in here, we brought in guys to replace Jax and none of them came close (Hedo as well did not come close). I hated some moves that 04 season lol.

Walter Berry was my favorite player of the "Dark Ages". A lot of great scrubs from that era. Such as Ennis Whatley...aka Penis ley.

    Shane Heal.

Hands down, worst player to ever play for the spurs. He was useless in the NBL, and somehow he got a contract with the Spurs.
Heal had that good Olympics (Barca or Atlanta), played well against the Dream Team and got big head lines with the chesting of Sir Charles Barkley incident.

As for Andrew Gaze he was just one of those guys who regardless of where he was he was always a valuable asset, and everywhere he went he had success. In the Australian NBL he was like trying to match up Dirk (6,7 Dirk), at Seton Hall it all came together and knocked down shots on the road to that NCAA final. Went to (I think) 5 Olympics, knocking down so many shots. Then at Spurs just a nice shooter to have up the end of the bench who went home with a ring.

Many have mentioned Lloyd Daniels. I recall that he was capable of playing well and even dominating games on occasion. However, according to Wikipedia:"he could not read above a third-grade level." Wouldn't that indicate something close to a medical definition of mental re ation?

I think it was a combination of drugs and inability to mentally comprehend what it meant to play in the NBA that finished his career.

Even now, when I see Rodman, I think of him sitting down on the sidelines, tossing his ing shoes. Obviously a gifted player, but Christ, what an asshole.

Some of the guys mentioned in this thread were so awful they really did not get enough time on the floor to adequately display their inep ude. I can't, without pangs of guilt, list them.

you guys must be young... i'm an old guy and the worst spur was either Alfredrick Hughes or Zarko Paspalj... Hughes was a wasted first round pick #14 out of Loyola of Chicago and had a jump shot that was so flat that it used to hit the bottom of the rim... as for Paspalj, he was the first euro spur with no game and boy was he ugly... not only that, but he was a chain smoker and used to try and smoke in the locker room and team bus... there were rumors that he once tried to light up while on the bench during a game...

Zarko was one of Europe's best shooters and he had a huge impact on the Greek League when he played for Olympiacos. He played zero D, though, and his game didn't translate well in Larry Brown's system. Zarko was a square peg in a round hole in the NBA. I watched this guy a lot when he was with the Spurs. The Spurs actually had some training camp workouts that were open to the fans at the UTSA Convo Center. I watched from above the basket at one end of the gym near the doors. Zarko was slick and fairly fast but he had a mental block playing for Larry. He was far from the worst Spurs' player I ever saw, though.

For the $$$, it's really hard to find someone to top Richard Jefferson. What a colossal bust. The best addition to the team was getting rid of him.

Uwe Blab was just plain worthless in the NBA, but it's not like we spent a ton of $$$ on him. He does get props for the funniest-sounding name, though.

Aaah yes, saw both of those players in San Antonio as well as Portland. Walter Berry was drafted by Portland way back when...didn't want to play for Portland for some odd reason, traded to the Spurs for Duckworth, fizzled out in San Antonio (and never wanted to suit up against Portland for some odd reason), and finally busting out in New Jersey. Penis ley was a decent scrub but nothing else.

cosign. Not only he played attrociously. He pissed off the refs early in the series and it was over. IMO he could have been a Cuban mole
