As a Spurs fan it always hurts seeing guys go, but Belli and his contract are a nice upgrade over Neal.

Sad to see him go. Definitely underrated on these forums. He certainly copped a lot of undeserved criticism for a backup guard.

Oh man! I'm gonna miss this guy! It's Very sad day in spurs history seeing him go, Neal is great, should be inspiration to all players in the world of hard work and how to be a compe or, for me Neal will always be a spurs legend, love this guy! What is also sad is seeing how much of you spurs fans are morons that not understand basketball, thinking Beli is an upgrade over the "Neal with it", Beli is not come close to what Neal is, if you want to find a comparison he is much closer to roger mason who is IMO the worst formar spurs player of all time.... Sad sad day in spurs history! Why pop why!!
LOL @ Roger Mason Jr. You might as well add Keith Bogans to the list. That dude was a joke.

If Neal is so sure to leave, how come no rumors on whose after him or at what price?

Hes a lower to middle tier free agent. Usually the bigger names have to get picked off before the lower tiers start to settle. Everyone has dreams of Dwight Howard and Chris Paul you know, but most people are left with money to spend and they end up spending it on a slew of guys like Neal. The fact that Belinelli signed when he did is probably a decent indication of his sincere interest in being a Spur.

I loved that strong up jumper with great form. Neal goes up with so much stability on that jump shot, it was fun to watch. Pop gave him la ude to take shots because he could see the confidence Neal shot with. He is a guy that can win a game purely off that powerful jump shot.

I will not miss that horrible D. And the total acid panic that arose up my eso us when Miami figured out neither Neal or Green could dribble, and they were on the floor at the same time. I will not miss Parker being run into the ground while not at full strength.

read somewhere Portland is interested in him. I am also pretty sure there are some contenders that want him of the bench.

^Manu signifies the end. If he would have taken less money, the Spurs could have signed someone better than Belinelli. I can understand Tiago Splitter not wanting to sacrifice any $$$ because he's younger and it's his first shot at big $$$. But Manu? He was the one who should have sacrificed more.
Are you willing to cut your salary by atleast half? Its the same principle, He is worth that money, there is no debating that fact.

With JJ Re , Dudley and Green I don't think they need a SG. Thunder would need him, so would the Rockets.

I think he'll land in Atlanta cause Ferry and Bud like him.

Glad that Tracy Morgan lookalike is leaving. When he is on the court he reminds me of poorly written and acted comedy in more ways than one.

Quite possibly the worst defense I've ever seen but still made enough impact at other end to get deserved minutes unlike some other pussies on the team I.e. bonner!!! I will miss him and root for him where ever he lands we all should, if nothing else he may have had us pulling our hair out but the guy has balls and never went flat in the front in the spotlight!!! Choo choo es love and respect Gary good luck!!!

I doubt he will land with a playoff team. Not too many playoff teams can withstand a player with his defense in the rotation.

Neal will get a deal with a decent team, if they are offering Market Value he's probably worth 3 Million a year.. Might get a lot more though.

    I will miss him.

He's the only guy that has the same size of balls as Tim Duncan. Gave positive results most of the time, but still is a CHUCKER!

Yeah, for a while when Neal was driven off the 3pt line he was able to put the ball on the floor and make a short J, but that was in the regular season. If he was able to continue that then no doubt in my mind he'd be kept, but void of that then he's just a spot up shooter, and a short one at that.
