Damn this show is good...
Linderman is "one" of them....DAYUM
Yeah, this episode rocked hard. Unbelievable how they keep the story lines moving along with so many characters. Fantastic show.
Awesome episode. Looks like Nathan wants to cure their abilities.
I want to know how Mother Petrelli has her hand in all the drama...
boy do i hate working late on mondays
5 left for this season anyhow. I heard NBC picked up the option for season 2.
Anything that involves technology, like say... rigging voting machines that just happen to be from Mr. Linderman's company...
I love the show, but lets be honest here....
That shape-shifting broad was one of the more lazy additions by the writers. They couldnt unweave some of their plot turns, so they made up a cure-all in this woman. Now, every time someone says something out of character, I just think "Oh, its the shape-shifter again. Whew, thank God shes new to save the story...."
Its weak. Especially the end.
I agree.
I also agree that (but I still love the show) they got carried away with the time travel aspect of the show. That get's too confusing and frankly, sort of dumb.
Having said all that, this is still my favorite show on TV.
I was loathe to watch last nights episode. But to be honest, I was pleasantly surprised! They did a good job with the characters (besides Claire, dark hair or not, she looked like a child in her mother's clothing).
Peter Petrelli is the man. Period.
Damn, after last night's episode, I'd love to see a spinoff of this show based on the future timeline. Or at least the rest of the fight between Sylar and Peter. The finale of this show is going to be super badass, I can't wait. Easily the best thing on television right now.
That Sylar/Peter showdown with the fire and ice gave me a boner.
Soooo, did anyone catch the season finale? Thoughts on the ending with Hiro?
Hiro probably ends up trapped in that time period for a while until he learns to use his powers again. I bet he becomes a samurai or something now that his dad taught him how to use a sword, or maybe he meets his ancestor or something like that. It's hard to tell what might happen.
I thought the ending to season 1 was decent. Predictable, but still good. I hope Sylar isn't dead so they can have that big ass Fire vs Ice battle that was about to happen in that episode where Hiro and Ando went to the alternate future. That would be badass. I'd actually love an entire season based on the alternate future where Peter really did blow up.
The finale was sub par. The final showdown involved Sylar Choking Peter, hitting him with a pole, jessica taking the pole away to hit sylar, Peter punching sylar, hiro stabing sylar. Should have been much more.

Well, if you think of it from the writers' perspective, they couldn't have done it to where Sylar got totally ing owned. Obviously they are going to bring him back, he'll probably be stronger than before and cause the Heroes a lot more problems. Typical comic book villain formula.
With Sylar still alive, and now that he has the nuclear bomb powers that he stole from Ted, the nuclear explosion possibility is still very real. We assume Peter is alive since he can heal himself, but Sylar could come back and blow up New York because he's pissed about getting stabbed by a girly Japanese dude.
So I think the anti-climacticness of the first season finale was done to make the fighting in the next season a little better. If they had beaten Sylar to the point where he logically and scientifically should be dead, then him coming back from the dead would be totally ing whack considering he doesn't have any healing powers.
There really was no one there who could fight Sylar one on one but Peter. Wasn't it just Jessica, DL (who was too hurt), the two kids, Claire and her dad, the doctor, and the cop? Who other than Peter could fight Sylar? With that, you have all the making of a gay final fight.
What I didnt get was cant Peter fly as well? Why didnt he just fly off instead of his brother haveing to sacrifice himself? And who was the bad guy the little girl was talking about that could see her when she thought about him? I missed some of the episodes so I thought maybe I might have missed something. The final battle wasnt that great, but I cant wait to see what new heroes they add in the next season
I think Peter was too focused on stopping himself from exploding thats why he couldn't fly.
They never said who the "Bad Man" was...that'll be cool to find out...I thought it was Sylar at first...but it seems it's gonna be someone else...so many questions...so little answers...
I know, I got hooked late into the show and cant wait for the next season
According to... something, I can track it down if necessary, Peter can't use more than one power at a time. Since his nuclear power was manifesting itself, he wasn't able to use his flying power.
I've heard that too....Remember, Peter has to currently "think" of the person who uses the power to make them manifest... who do you know that can focus on two things, be it consoiusly or sub-consiously, at one time? Its like making your left eye turn left and your right eye turn right and be able to interpret whats going on from each eye.
I really want to know who the even more badass evil guy is.

He didn't blow up, all the nuclear energy was released, but Peter himself didn't explode. He should be OK because he is immune to the radiation. Remember, Ted didn't kill himself any of the times he went nuclear. Nathan on the other hand probably didn't fare so well. Peter's healing power will probably come into play when he plummets back to Earth, unless he somehow regains enough strength to fly before he plows himself into the ground.
