Oh the off. Have you read ANY of my posts tonight? That WAS a good hard check. It was a GOOD HARD CHECK. Read my words. Checks are NOT basketball. They are HOCKEY. I did not defend Horry ONCE tonight and said he should be gone, because that was horrible what he did to Nash.

    Get a grip.
it would have been a hard check had Horry not raised the elbow up to shoulder level. That's what will get him suspended.

Amare told the league this Spurs were a dirty team and something needed to be done. Stern decided to do NOTHING. This is all on him.

Amare has a pretty good case because of his prior " ing".

Besides, they "stayed in the immediate vicinity of their bench."

He was on the court and went past the line near the scorer's table, once he passed the line he was then held back.

It's judgement call however the NBA does not want to risk itself by setting a precedent of not suspending a player in enforcing this rule, particularly when in the past, players who may have caught themselves or made a small step were suspended.
I am telling you right now Amare is gone. I live in NY and when this happened to the Knicks in 97 against the Heat when Charlie Ward was body slammed to the floor by Mourning, Ewing stepped one foot on the court much less than Amare did and he was gone from the next game. By the letter of the law the NBA has to suspend Amare and Boris. Horry was out of line and that was dirty but Amare and Boris are responsible for their reaction to what Horry did.

    who elbowed who?
I love the selective editing there. The Raja Bell elbow came prior to that, when Bell came in from behind and to the side of Horry and spun him around.

They both were well past vicinity, as even so the NBA set the precedent when they suspended Barkley a game for merely stepping on the court and then stepping off. There's no question about it - they are either gone for 5 or the NBA has no integrity left, not even any integrity with their rules. Might as well change the name to NBE - National Basketball Entertainment - if the league lets the Suns off the hook. It will be fixed sport if that happens. It would also be fixed if Amare, Diaw, and Bell are suspended and Horry isn't - he checked Nash intentionally in retaliation for all the cheap shots the Suns laid down over the entire game.
Is there any conceivable argument for Amare not getting suspended?

How long have you been watching the NBA? Every time a toe has gone onto the court, the player was suspended. Why is Amare special? Replays already show that he wasn't headed to check-in. What's the magical excuse?

What sold it was Nash flopping and D'Antoni's hysterics. Oh well, I'll take Horry for Stoudemire + Bell in Game 5.
    Bell too?

Horry could be gone for more than one game. I wonder. If so, he could have just played his last game ever.

If the league does suspend Amare and Diaw don't be surprised for Horry to be gone for the rest of this series ie 3 games...you can't reward a team for taking a cheap shot

Why should the Suns be penalized that harshly when a moron like Horry does that? I understand the purpose of the rule, but what if the Suns send a goon to get into a fight with Duncan, what would we say then? I don't think they should be suspended. lets beat them at full strenth. Are we not good enough???

I think they'd have a REALLY hard time justifying that, with no punches thrown.

I want to see 2 teams at full strength battle it out. Not the bull if Amare, Diaw and Horry are out. Stupidest move by a Spur since Rod Strickland vs. Portland.

Rules are rules...apply the rules. And no Spurs fan is defending Horry, what he did was over the line and could have resulted in a serious injury.

Amare and Diaw left the immediate vicinity of the bench, that is undeniable. It doesn't matter provocation, need etc, the league needs to issue three suspensions for this game.

Oh and if you're going to use the Horry thing to say the Spurs are dirty. I'll take the Marion eye completely out of context and say the Suns are dirty and want to maim their opponents for life.

Suns did OK last year without Amare.

Lets face the fact that we blew a 10 point lead iin the 4th.

    That wasn't Spurs basketball.

Who is a better all time player Ewing or Amare? Ewing got run for a playoff game for barely stepping on the court in 97. Amare is gone by the letter of the law he was on the bench and left it and he will be suspended.
