Yeah, because in the 70's he had camera phones and recorders so readily available...![]()
His wife brought it to the forefront. That's how it's known.
Get over it. It's OK to still like his music. Even his flamboyant on-stage persona. It's OK... His wearing tight, belly-exposing pink tank tops is still just a part of his act. I doubt he was wearing such when Bowie's lady walked in on them...

Sinead O'Connor has one of the best female vocals ever. That she has no mention in this thread is a travesty.
, I forgot to say Jack Black. His voice is ing awesome.

Sorry... women can't do rock.
I'll post before I read through everyones comments
Eddie Veder (Pearl Jam) -- How often is he imitated?
Gavin Hayes (Dredg) -- Not really known, but great lyrics and range
Thom York (Radiohead) -- No discussion needed
Anothony Green (Circa Survive/Sound of Animals Fighting) -- People say he sounds like a female, but I love the high pitch singing
Chris Cornell -- Still love his vocals..
Cedrix Bixler-Zavala (At The Drive In / Mars Volta) -- Some of the Mars uses voice effects, but still good.
There are plenty of great non-current singers:
Geoff Tate, Freddy Mercury, James Dio, Robert Plant
