My mom is diabetic and my grandmother has had arthritis since before I was born. We used to travel up to outside Corpus Christi and pick cotton for 10 hours a day. They never complained.

I did, it sucked.

Then, we'd go east and pick tomatoes in Georgia and cu bers and okra in Alabama. Don't go to Alabama. When we got older, we would travel to Indiana to pick apples. Not as fun as you think.

We never hit the cheese line.
