Yeah, it's pretty pathetic how their egos can't allow them to admit they got lucky. The most unlikeable team in the league without a doubt.
Same thing with their fans. I still have hope Kawhi and the team will fight back to win this series.

The loss of Tony, manageable when Kawhi is in there, really hit hard after Leonard went out. While Tony is vulnerable on d, he'd have still gotten us in our sets and run the offense, and we wouldn't have had those lousy shots that allowed Dubs to get out in transition.

Basketball gods unkind to the Spurs.

the 2nd half, but that 1st half was beautiful. When Aldridge dunked on two gots on the break Leonard had some sick plays too.

Agreed. I hardly post but just wanted to put my two cents. A lot of people on here counted the Spurs out before this series even started. I felt the Spurs had exactly what it took to beat this team and it showed in this game. The only reason this game was lost was the lost of Kawhi (and some terrible calls). When Kawhi went down the Spurs looked like they panicked a bit and by the time they gathered themselves it was to late. The media will drool all over GS and how they came back blah, blah, blah but we all know the reason why. The Spurs had an excellent game plan going in and executed it well. Of course they made mistakes here and there as no game is perfect but they showed they had what it takes to beat this team. This was the game they needed to steal because Kawhi will probably not play game 2 being that there is 3 days in between games to give him 5 days rest and they will probably lose that game. GS is on some lucky streak by playing injured teams. Regardless of what people think on here this is a good Spurs team. I tell you one thing GS is breathing a sigh of relief right now, especially when they saw Kawhi walk off the floor.
    You should post more.

Yep, with Tony in the game, I do not believe the Dubs would have gone an 18-0 run. Spurs completely lost their composure for that stretch. I believe Tony could have calmed the guys and restored some composure before they fell off that cliff. That was the game.

Well I just watched the game 5 minutes ago. Couldn't watch it live as I worked late, but unfortunately, tough, tough loss.

If you read one of my posts on page 3, I thought we had a great chance to win this series - I never once thought about not winning the series. We played a magnificent game. This is one of the toughest losses I've felt in 20 years. Maybe I'm posting too early after watching, but I thought we outplayed them and they hit a lot of bull shots to come back. Even after Kawhi went out, I thought we played tough all the way.

What's the general reaction here? How was the game thread?

. What a tough loss. I'm s shocked more that Kawhi went out with an injury again more than the loss I think. Kawhi was dominating them.

ing bull s get luck yet again with an injury to another team's top player.

This time, they needed the second best player on the planet to get injured to win the game by 2 points. ing bull .

Yeah, total bull . They needed the second best player on the planet to get injured for them to win the game by 2 points. Their ing luck is total BS.

Kawhi was dominating that game. I'm upset about the loss, really mad, but the Kawhi injury with him going out, I'm devastated over that.

Spuristan. I don't know whether to blame the OP for the thread or for you even bringing up Kawhi hurting his ankle. What a ty turn (no pun intended) of events.

To be fair, Draymond of all people, was the only Warrior to admit the loss of KL could have affected the outcome.
