Great pass by TP, Tim is just off still.![]()
It's not just his mobility. Duncan is having trouble catching passes too!
Tim looks like trash again. Where is that at ude you said you were going to play with after the Lakers game Tim???
neither team can score, sucky game
Duncan started off strong but he probably sat too long, he'll warm up again.
true, another shotblocker would be great. but i think we need a athletic/rebounding big more than pure shotblocking.
gooden is a good rebounder who matched up better with odom than any of our other bigs.
his defense hasnt been as bad as his reputation says he is
Whats with these stupid rocket announcers? There idiots.
Wonder if TD having knee pads are hindering his play. Seems like using knee pads would take some adjustment.
Giving up a baseline layup to Landry was a bad sign.
I'm pointing it out because what we really needed was a backup weakside shotblocker, and instead we got a post player. Good acquisition given what was available, but didn't really fill our need.
Don't get me wrong, I like Gooden coming in, but I'm worried that his D could be an Achilles' Heel because he's not an average defender, he's below average. Hopefully the system will cover for him, and Pop will be smart about who he puts him on the court against.
Duncan looks like he's ready for slippers, a pipe and a rocking chair.
If Tim is like this going into the playoffs we will have trouble getting out of the second round.
True, we do need rebounding and mobility as well and he gives us that, but we'll have to cover his D because he is a poor defender. I've watched a lot of Gooden over the years, and he's just a shade better than bad on that end. Maybe our system will improve his D, can only hope.
I'm in the minority, but I'm not that concerned about Timmy..this looks like 2005-2006 Duncan with PF, where he struggled in the regular season, and everybody thought he was done..then the playoffs came, and he was putting up 33 and 11 averages vs. Dallas in the semis..
from your lips to god's ears.....
Spurs always give up leads and other teams always make bull shots like Brooks did just then.
uh oh, tony flopped on that one.
definitely, but obviously Gooden was the best option at the time..we would all have loved getting someone like Camby, but it's not so easy, as you know..

I have to agree with the moron announcers that TP flopped on that one.
Only thing they've gotten right so far.![]()
