I'd say I have probably been a spurs fan longer than you...

but I remember rodman rebounding like a beast whenever he played...

OFF the court he may have had an agenda or whatever---

but ON the court---I only wish bonner,finley,bogans,etc...could produce...

    10% of what rodman produced...

FYI ---have been a spurs fan since they came from dallas as the chapparrals and became the san antonio spurs...FWIW
Damn, you can't be serious, surely!

Robinson did a lot to cool down a red-hot Pistons team in game 1 of the Finals. In 6 minutes, he had 3 blocks and really helped to shut down a team that had just jumped to a 17-4 lead. I can't believe any Spurs fan would disrespect Big Dog after that.
Yeah, Big Dog was one of my favorite pickups. Pretty uncharacteristic move by the Spurs FO, and it paid off.

Rodman committed the unforgivable sin of quitting on your team. That being said, when he was motivated and his head was in the game, I thought he contributed to the some of the best ball of the Admiral's pre-Duncan era.

Like I said, an unforgivable sin, but on the other hand, it's not like managing Rodman was an impossible task. Rodman played a big part in Detroit and in Chicago. Why couldn't we get it done? I think it was a failure on both Rodman's and the Spurs parts. Mostly on Rodman's...but managing talent is part of the game, too.

It really sucked watching him go and help MJ win more les.

I would say Rodman, but he was never a spur... didn't happen.

Then I guess you were just at the fridge getting a sandwich for the 95 playoffs when Rodman completely ed the team's chances of getting to the finals.
you have a point, and someone else called it unforgivable...

but I still believe that after what rodman contributed ON the court ...

is more forgivable than the constant sucking of bonner & finley---which, IMO,

automatically places them in this list/this thread---and rodman is spared-strictly

due to his ON the court performances...

I hate to be the one to inform you, but screwing the team in the conference finals happened on the court.

A starting lineup with Danny Ferry and Terry Porter in it cannot be considered talented. Not to mention DA being an RMJ level defensive player. DA might have been enough to get the Spurs game 2 of that 01 WCF, but I think that's the only one they could have gotten from that Laker team. Then again, Kobe dropped 38 a game on DA that regular season, so maybe it would have been a sweep still.
Actually the starting lineup for that season was Robinson, Duncan, Elliott, Anderson, Johnson. Thanks though.
