my order status from HP just says "ADMIN".
Not sure exactly what that means. Will I get one? Am I in some sort of backorder mode?
I guess it's better than a cancellation, but I won't feel good about it till I get some sort of shipping notice.
I got an email from HP saying my order won't ship until Thursday..![]()

Where are you guys checking to see the Android port progress of this thing?
So, I don't know jack about this thing. What is the deal with it. Does it do everything the Ipad does, but just more clunky and not as many apps?
Really appreciate it man.. either way no big deal, just let me know, I've had no luck picking one up
It's similar to an iPad. There aren't NEARLY as many apps; the question is now with there suddenly being a million of them out there, will some devs be more interested in porting existing ones? Probably a few more but not most.
It's thicker than the iPad 2, only has a front-facing camera, overall slower, but there are speedup tips that help somewhat; HP has promised a new performance release of WebOS and continued support of the OS itself. It supports Flash and has true mul asking. The only version is wifi; no 3G (though HP's web site STILL talks about a coming AT&T 4G version, not bloody likely now).
If what you want to do is surf, play music (has BEATS audio), check email it's a great deal at $99. If you want it to do everything an iPad can do, it's not. There is an Android port in the works, status/likelihood of success unknown.
I'm just realizing. Is this the tablet that pacquiao is endorsing in that commercial?
Also, what is that BEATS audio? I know they make headphones but what is it in this tablet? I think there's laptops with BEATS. Is that just a marketing ploy?
I'd imagine its just branding of the type of audio processor in the tablet (or laptop as the case may be). I doubt its anything of any real substance but more of a marketing ploy.
BTW does anyone know of any web browsing alternative of substance? I really really dislike the stock browser.
Was anyone able to score one from any Best Buys in SA?
don't even compare it to ipad. you'll be dissapointed.
if you get this, this will help you with web browsing and email and don't expect much else. But for those who love to customize their pcs this is a bargain and a good deal. Also don't expect a stable android version until 6 months or more from now.
so if you get it get it for browsing, email and tinkering with.
Can you watch Netflix and put iTunes on it like a pc?
It don't know about it being a marketing ploy. The speakers are better than any other mobile device that is have ever owned
No, and there is no need for itunes as you can just drag and drop your music
All my music is in iTunes though. Thanks for the info though.
are you paying for your music?

I have to be the luckiest little dude on Earth. I didn't even hear about this stuff until yesterday, I'm not a tekie so I know very little about it, but I just wandered into a Best Buy and ended being 4th in line for a shipment they got and snagged a 32G for $150.
Damn thats awesome. Good job.
I dont know how to use it though or its capabilities. I like that st is its normal version on here though.
Forgot to mention that Amazon VOD works with it as well. Basically all flash video that is not silverlight seems to work just fine. Amazon VOD seems to have a lot of Netflix les so if you're a Prime member then its a good resource for the touchpad.
