Cable deal, Kobe moving merchandise, Dwight will move even more merchandise.

Lakers can pay everybody max and still turn a profit.

Solid take, tbh... also, the Lakers are completely changing their offensive system as well, which won't be an easy transition after years of running the Triangle...
The Princeton Offense is bound to work better than the crap they were running last year, also known as "fart around for 20 seconds, then force Kobe to heave it up with no time left on the shot clock." Passing, moving without the ball, getting shots from different spots on the floor... the Lakers were begging for an offense that let them do that last year.

With an intelligent offense and a massive defensive upgrade in the paint, I like next year's Lakers way better than last year's model.

    Damn it.

Great move for the Lakers, they're easily the best team in the West on paper..I have no idea how you get Howard without moving both Bynum and Gasol, but they pulled it off, as usual..

Kobe, Mike Brown and age are still 3 major concerns, but Howard is a major upgrade over Bynum, regardless of the back concerns..

This Lakers team was 2 Kobe choke jobs away from winning the West, Howard makes up the difference, tbh..

Absolutely atrocious deal for Orlando..Afflalo has peaked and has a ty contract..Al Harrington is useless for a team like Orlando, a lesser version of Ryan Anderson(these types of players aren't as effective without a C like Howard)..

Very good deal for Philly..they finally have a post presence, Bynum should dominate the East, adding much needed balance..Richardson adds another shooter to the list, giving them flexibility for additional moves..

Good deal for the Nuggets..Iguodala adds much needed defense on the perimeter, they have a nice nucleus, they should be a perennial 1st round/2nd round exit..

Great move for the Lakers. I think they wrapped it up with this move. I don't see OKC beating them. Howard will kill them in the paint. Unlike San Antonio, they don't have to rely on a PG to score.

    BTW Mitch is the GOAT.

I really think Jerry & Mitch pushed Jim aside because that pot head can't possibility pull off a trade like this.

I expect Gasol & Howard to have career years in FG% efficiency.

I'd put OKC below Lakers and Celtics, tbh... They did nothing except sign Thabeet.
    Watch out for Perry Jones.

I would laugh my ass off if Stern blocked another Laker trade, tbh... "But, but, if you ignore 2001, 2002, and the Pau trade, the league is totally rigged against the Lakers and Stern hates us!"

Won't happen because he was running the Hornets at the time.

Yeah, I realize that... I'm talking about if the trade doesn't go through the league office though, and regardless of whose fault it is, Lakerfan would automatically blame Stern tbh...

Tbh, I think spurfans are frustrated they can't attract noteworthy players and have to build through the draft which is a pretty long process.

It's got to be 99% done. Kobe just issued a statement.

Kobe Bryant released the following statement on his Facebook page in response to the Lakers' trade of Andrew Bynum for Dwight Howard.
"Well, it looks like Superman has found a home," wrote Bryant. "I wish nothing but the best for Big Bynum. I hope he follows what was a great season last year with an even better one next year. I know LA is excited about the deal and rightfully so. The Lakers landed a piece that will hopefully carry the franchise long after I'm gone. I have spoken to Dwight Howard already and we are locked and loaded to bring back the le. Wow, what a summer Jimmy and Mitch have had so far. Unreal! I'm focused on our semifinal game vs Argentina but I had to pause for a few to send you my thoughts, in case you were curious.."

Dude, 76ers got the best deal. Iguoadala is expendable. He's a swing man with limited offeinsve abilities. A 3rd option at best. Bynum will be huge in Philly assuming his health permits him to play 80 games a season. He was groomed well by Kareem and has championship experience. Despite of his immaturity he will do well under Coach Collins and I expect better things from him now that he finally has a team that can call his own. I really like the 76ers future tbh.
