    Howard's defense hasn't been up to the level we expect, but he's still playing defense at a top 5 level..statistically, Garnett, Duncan, Chandler, Marc Gasol and Bogut(in limited minutes) have been the only bigs that have been as valuable, or more, than Howard..

    That's still impressive for a recovering, high usage player, tbh..

    Bynum's defense was usually lazy and uninspired and his offense was often thwarted by double teams and poor shot selection..at his peak, there's an argument that he's better than Howard, but from a consistency standpoint, it's not even close IMO..

    I agree that Howard's offense has hurt LA, so far..to be fair, he's currently the only Laker that consistently contributes in more than one facet of basketball..

    Is Derrick Fisher still playing anywhere? I can see him being a coach one day.

    The problem is that the season has started, and damn near any decent coach is signed already. It would be funny if SVG ended up coaching Howard again though.
