I think you two have been arguing online for 15+ years, right?
There's been so many, I forget.

And still not worth the money he's making.
    23ppg addition. I'll take it.

You know who is going to benefit this year? LMA and the 3 pt shooters. There will also be lots of backcutting layups as defenders help off Kawhi and DD. Efficiency should improve nicely. That's worth his 2nd team all-NBA salary every day. And twice on Sundays.

Protected pick doesn’t matter cause Toronto won’t pick between 1-20 anyway.

Uncle Dennis ed the Spurs organization when he demanded LA or nothing. Uncle Dennis ed the Spurs organization when he said Kawhi would sit out in most trade situations rather than play. Uncle Dennis ed the Spurs organization when he had his nephew pretend to be hurt rather than help the team paying him $21,000,000.00 make a run in the playoffs.

I was convinced the Spurs were getting nothing for Kawhi, which would have been fine, too. Pop ships Kawhi off about as far away from Los Angeles as he could get him...out of the country to be exact. I'd say it's a big FU to Uncle Dennis, and I couldn't be more pleased.

The best of a bad situation.

One wonders what Chip might have in mind for DeRozan's shot.

Agreed. Let's see what he can do with a 28 year old, 28% career three point shooters shot.

The only upside is that DDR averaged more than 5 assists last season. It's sort of a lot to ask Chip to fix both DJM's and DRR's shots in one offseason, though.

Our perimeter defense has been gutted in any case.
I know this is a very late reply to this but I just woke up and saw it.. How is it a lot to ask? All he has to do is analyze the shot and tell him how to correct it and then give them a shooting plan to work on their own. It’s not like he has to be next to them individually all day. A shooting coach’s job is to help out the whole team at once if he has to..
And it’s obvious that Murray is already on his shooting plan based on this videos. His form is already different and a lot better (he actually puts both hands on the ball now).

Fixing a shot is tough. Years of muscle memory being altered. It's like changing a golf swing. Not always successful.

Yeah I know but it just seemed like you were saying it wasn’t possible to even attempt to fix both shots. As for being successful yes it’s a long shot but doable if the players work hard enough at it. I really think Murray will be shooting better this upcoming season.

Derozan shot 36% from 3 for the first half of the season and then just fell off a cliff; don't know if it was injuries or what, but if he can actually maintain that percentage through the entire year this year, we might have something on our hands

I doubt much. DeRozan stroke looks pretty sweet. It's just a matter of range with him. Maybe more legs? But I doubt there's much to do there.

And the idea that a #10 draft pick is guaranteed to be better than a proven Allstar is crazy.
