and is Paul Boyette Jr completely solid to you guys or what? I've heard a few things regarding his name also but I don't really know anything about his recruitment.
Have not heard anything that would lead me to believe Boyette wasn't solid. Grew up a huge UT guy and wants to play for Bo Davis.

Regarding the Hassan Ridgeway news. A&M was really trying to keep this quiet and I guess Recruotocosm finally got ahold of it. Should be interesting to see how that plays out. We need him badly.
Hamm of Gig 'Em 24/7 is saying he's in College Station this weekend on an official visit. Texas may make his decision easy if that's true. Tough pill to swallow, if true, considering both he and his coach have talked about how solid he is to UT in recent weeks.

Pussy knew if he went to college station his ship would be pulled, so instead of having to decommit he let Texas do it for him.

bralon addision (a&m) and chance allen (okie lite) reportedly having a great time on oregon visit - they're best friends and have stated in past they'd like to play together. also word of other potential aggie decommits. maybe realization is kicking in that 5 win season will be a fight next year for a&m. i'm putting over/under at 4 wins.

    Sept. 1: MCNEESE ST. W
    Sept. 8: FLORIDA L
Sept. 15: SMU in Dallas W
Sept. 22: open date or non-conference opponent W
Sept. 29: ARKANSAS (site TBD) L
Oct. 6: at Ole Miss W
Oct. 13: open date or non-conference opponent
    Oct. 20: LSU L
    Oct. 27: at Auburn L
Nov. 3: at Mississippi State L
    Nov. 10: at Alabama L
Nov. 17: open date or non-conference opponent W
    Nov. 24: MISSOURI Tossup

I'm assuming non-conference opponents will be weak, so
    5-7 / 6-6

good picks. it has to be 5-7 for over/under.

you are definitely right on the non-conf opponent, say o to east tennessee state or some rollover like that for those games.

you have to pick mizzou though. they beat ags in college station and will be improved team, while ags will be breaking in new QB.

and i don't think ole' miss is a given. will gilbert be starting for SMU? haha

LMFAO TAMU-CC...is that even a real school? JOKE

Kind of like how everyone in Texas calls themselves longhorns right?
Actually, no. There are those in Texas who call themselves Aggies, Red Raiders, Horned Frogs, Bears, and even Javelinas.

I graduated from TAMU-CC....but I have been a lifelong fan of the Longhorns.

I have also liked Alabama ever since George Teague played for them......and that is probably longer than you have been a fan of theirs.

But continue trolling and bringing absolutely zero to this thread. Continue to do nothing but make yourself look like a clown. If that is what brings you entertainment and joy, so be it.

Anyone have an update on Santos or Cottrell? Did Ridgeway have his 'ship pulled or is that still speculation?

Nothing definitive on Ridgeway yet other than a few reports that he was indeed in College Station this weekend. The details about who knew and who didn't know about his trip are still up in the air. Unless the kid simply has his heart set on A&M, things don't add up.

HornsNation reported recently that Santos is scheduled to announce on Monday. My assumption is he wants to return to Van first and take the time to inform the Tennesse coaches before making his commitment to UT public. On Cottrell, there have been a couple reports that he will stick with Oregon but no UT sites have said he's informed the UT coaches of that. He was supposed to meet with Mack today.

Great news. I hope the visit with Mack will convince him to switch. There was mention of Hobbs not getting a scholarship because we had a new commit. Was that Daje? Seems like it to me.

So there's speculation that Ridgeway had his scholarship revoked because he might switch to the Aggies? Of course there is. Because that's the only way he'd switch right? Incredible.

    More on DE Hassan Ridgeway...

    Jesus Shuttlesworth:
"Ridgeway has not been completely above board with either his high school coach or the Texas staff, and that's what the young man has been ADVISED to do."

    TexasForever:
"Who ADVISED him, the aTm coaching staff or someone outside the family and coaches??"

    Jesus Shuttlesworth:
"We're working on that part of the story.

    And then from OrangeBloods:

There's more to it than that (playing time), I can assure you.

The kid isn't being upfront with his own coach (I'm told his coach isn't happy about things at all) and he's not being upfront with Texas either. To paraphrase what one person I talked to earlier said, "there are some things going on that aren't going to sit well with high school coaches."

    Sisk-

Take off the maroon glasses for a second or two. Like I said previously, a kid committed to UT for almost an entire year who would we willing to hop into an uncertain situation right before National Signing Day doesn't add up. If you like A&M so much, why not just be honest about it and do it the right way? Why not inform your own coaches of your intentions instead of sneaking around behind their backs? If we're looking at this purely from a defensive player's persepective, leaving Diaz's defense to go play for what A&M calls defense is similar to me moving out of a mansion in Westlake Hills for a cardboard box on 6th Street. Let's be real. This doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Floss, you obviously underestimate the delusion of the Ags if you think that is a possibility. That is like asking a turd not to smell.

When they try to ruin the thread just remember, that is what makes them Aggies.

But what makes us Longhorns is we kicked their ass on the field. So let them have their little moral victories. They will be few and far in between and small and insignificant.

Mack is notorious for pulling scholarships from players who take other visits or who aren't being honest. Ridgeway could have been afraid his 'ship would be pulled by Mack if he found out he was visiting, therefore elected not to tell him or maybe he's already made up his mind and wants to be an Aggie. He obviously gets along with our new staff compared to our old and that could be the reason he took a look at us and he obviously ended up liking what he heard. It's really not that surprising. This happens every year in recruiting and if you follow it you should know this. It might be surprising for Texas fans because they are usually on the other side of these commitment flips but it happens all the time.

Lol at the scholarship revoked, he is getting paid, he has an advisor group. Please.

What is delusional? That we aren't shocked that a player picked our university? A university we think is great.

When has an Aggie tried to ruin the thread? I enjoy coming here and reading the write ups. Especially since we tend to be after the same players every year. If anything is ruining the thread it's your immature responses to anything and everything Aggie related.

Yeah, 18 year olds have NEVER changed their minds a week before signing day. Or the day of.

This is just one of many, many more recruiting battles Texas A&M will win.

I'll agree with this. Yes this happens, but yes fans throw it out assuming other schools don't have something to offer is annoying as and I hate to see Texas fans throw this out.

Regarding our thread, it is a Texas thread, we are not in the same conference as you, and quite frankly, I don't get why Ags come over here? Yes we go after some same recruits. But TJ and Ridgeway and only two recruits we have offered that may go to Ags. That is not a lot of "going after same recruits".

To sum things up, would you want Texas Tech going over an A&M recruiting thread and posting about who they have committing and their updates? I doubt it.

Not saying A&M doesn't have anything to offer recruits. But BCS bowls, conference championships or nat'l championships are not part of it. Yes you can offer 'immediate playing time'. But so can Baylor, UTEP or SMU. I don't see their fans on here.
