No African team that makes it to the WC is significantly worse than the lesser teams in the Euros, same thing with Conmebol teams, USA, Mexico, North Korea, Australia, Japan, etc. In the WC there are maybe 1 or 2 teams that are clearly outclassed, the rest are all compe ive.

That "Euros is harder than the WC" is a re ed comment made by self-centered Euro s.
Finally something we agree on tbh.

It's time for people to realize that the gap between National teams now is shrinking and that most teams now are compe ive as ..

Tbh, I even think Costa rica and Honduras would be compe ive.

not this australian team man, this is not the team of players who help qualify, they went and selected a bunch of younger players who had no hand in qualification whlie the vets who help qualified didnt get selection....

this crop of wankers will probably be representing the country in the future in other tournaments, but didnt expect a rebuild to come this suddenly...

You seem upset, here are some highlights of Argentina from WC 2010 to calm you down:

Dude, grow up as a person and realize that no ing tournament lacking two of the biggest teams in the sport can be the most dificult of . BTW, where's Slovenia, tbh?

At the thought of Slovenia going to play to Bolivia.

They are lucky to be on Europe 'cause there they may get one of those groups full of scrubs and qualify, they have no chance in South America.

Slovenia qualified twice for WC and only once for EC - so obviously it's easier to get into WC...

not so sure tbh. brazil and argentina will always be powerhouses but the rest of the quality varied greatly throughout the years. In europe you get france/spain/italy/germany/netherlands/portugal/england that were always decent plus czechoslovaks/serbs+croats/poland/soviets/belgium/swedes/danes that had long spells of quality football.

You are overrating SA. Neutral opinion, no bias.

I don't know if Slovenia would make the WC here, I'm just ing with him. But it would definitely be tough. Qualifiers in Europe can be a cakewalk if you get drawn into an easy group.

certainly. Let's say you have a 50% chance per qualification for an easy group to exist (they aren't so rare but also not constant per qualification batch). For a team to get in that group you have a 12% chance (9 groups). That means you get an easy group 6% of the time as a nation. So let's say slovenia has a 6% qualification rate.

Let's assume brazil and argentina always qualify. Would you say that there is less of a 6% chance that two of the uruguay/paraguay/columbia/chile up their qualification. As history has it I'd say that's a more than fair chance. I will count out the behemots of peru/guyana/venezuela/suriname.

What I'm trying to point out that europe is much more compe ive and that SA is skewed to top heavy, so I'd wager you'd have less chances in europe then in SA where teams do sneak in with horrid qualification campaigns on the regular.

    The are you talking about?

Every team in South America is compe ive then you have the massive home court advantages like the height in Bolivia and Ecuador. The heat in Brazil, Venezuela and Colombia, etc, etc, etc.

    just joking with that.

Every team in south america has a huge problem from the "playing like a balanced team" pov. Either too sloppy at the back, too individualistic, too willing to attack, or plainly lacking physicality. Slovenia is a great grinder team that would take advantage in the long run from such problems.
