I went to Sunday service with my wife to her church.She's "protestant,evangelical,Christian" and I am a Catholic.
So I am listening to the guest speaker and I knew what was coming,I told my wife before he started what I was expecting the speaker to say.
So he was saying how in the bible all the prophecies are already coming true and that
the end is near.He has a teleprompter and showing pictures of leaders that are making these prophecies true(Saddam,Arafat,Osama,and John Paul II). He said Arafat was burning in then he went for the kill and stated "with all due respect" but John Paul II is also burning in . Man,I was so pissed at that moment I wanted to walk out which I have before.
At the end of service he was selling his DVD's,books,and other propaganda in back of the church(which I refer to as a warehouse) with all the 20's stacked in front of him.
I so wanted to tell him off but I held back.
Things like that make me not like religion.

If you do not believe that God had the power to Create Man, then you do not believe in God. do not fool yourself. I am catholic by birth and family as well, I have a cross and St. Jude (patron saint of lost causes) around my neck. But I too have a problem learning in Catholic church...too traditional, too scripted. But they are coming around...more contemporary priests to reach out to a greater audience without alienating...I personally like Baptist Church. Sing, Say o, Listen, Learn. Get Closer.
