I don't know which of these 3 is most pathetic . . .

- The lack of compe iveness, shame and the alarmingly increasing amount of groupthink among players, particularly prominent ones
- The lack of compe iveness, shame and desperation for constant attention and adulation from the Warriors
- The constant and shameless defending from their legion of backers in the media

Probably the first.

There are less and less references, team iden y or franchise players you can identify to. No foes and rivalries. One day rivals, the next day arm in arm.

It feels like any player can ask to be traded any day if his coffee was too cold or the security guard didn't smile to him.

Players say it's a business and teams don't hesitate to move them. It's true to some extent but they don't move guys who show commitmnet and accountability (not if they produce anyway).

Barkley's Sixers, Jordan's Bulls, Robinson's SA, Drexler's Portland, Utah's Stockton Malone, Wilkins Atlanta... Spurs big 3 vs Pistons big 4, spurs vs Lakers or Nash's Suns... you had clear iden y, characters, stories and drama, you had a past, a future and a prsent, an history.

It's only 3rd of July and the first big domino everybody was waiting to fall to move (Lebron) just felt. It's still a period of discussion and negociation, he would have plenty in firm offers in the days to come.
