They aren't going to stop talking about those things because there's an underlying hatred for whites that they have been indoctrinated in for decades. It's the same motivation behind the new York times and Washington Post bashing the moon landing on the 50th anniversary because too many whites were involved. If they are going out of their way to that they are not going to give up the "privilege" tenet of their ideology. That's far too effective bashing and silencing whites.

I agree that the political correctness from that camp is divisive, but the angst against whites isn't totally foundationless. There's many bandwagoners who never experienced a lick of racism in their lives getting on the victimhood bandwagon, but we have to remember, civil rights were won in the South a mere 60 years ago and I just saw a newspaper clipping from 1910 that reported on the killings and lynchings of 325 black people done for "fun." Believe it or not, these events cascade through generations, and blacks in the 50-90 age range no doubt experienced racism directly or had family members that were victims of such violent racism. Yes, it's irrational to extend that anger to all whites, but the line being trumpeted from the right wing media is that it's Leftist indoctrination that is stirring up hate against whites, when whites did plenty in the past to alienate the black community and other minority groups.

And again, the logical and rational thing to do is to zoom out and blame individuals for like 325 lynchings. "White people" didn't commit that, a group of deranged psychopaths did. But that's not the way the mind always works, unfortunately. We often generalize blame to groups rather than individualize it.
