The losing is probably not good to keep the Spurs in San Antonio. San Antonio is a fairweather fanbase and won't be showing up to the games of a losing team. We aren't Golden State, Sacramento, etc. where the fans support the team through thick and thin. This might be good though for an eventual move to Austin, though. Time tells.
Take a wrecking ball to that half a billion dollar waste of money by Six Flags and truck the team off to Seattle.
That'd be a step in the right direction at least. Hopefully they can move to a real city where the media can put some pressure on PATFO![]()
I mean we literally had a 19 point lead in this game with branham playing point. We don't need any type of point guard with some sort of great skillset. We just need a guard who is not sochan who is literally the worst "point guard" in the nba right now by a wide margin. Like if you just don't play him at point tonight and just play branham and tre, we win this game by 20 or more.
At this point I wonder if they'd win in Overtime Elite
What we need is mother nature to do its thing and cull every mf'er above 70 associated with the franchise![]()
Spurs fans want to have this vision of building through the draft but I have news for ya,,,,Wemby aint waitin' for that. Straight from his mouth,,,,he wants to win now. He is as good as gone if this season is any indication because Pop just flat out sucks,,,,and no way there is a player coming out in the next draft that transitions the Spurs into a playoff team and possible le team over night. Should have traded For Liiliard,,,,didnt,,,,now wait for the disgruntled Wemby to start showing himself,,,,,. This idea of tanking for the draft is gonna cost you Wemby in the near future,,,,
And nobody should blame him one bit.

The Spurs have led by double digits in 54% of their games this season. SA enters 1-5 when leading by 10.
Now 1-6...
That sounds nice, but Wemby is not ready anyway and needs to improve his game a lot.
So he is not ready and Pop is a diaper full of hemorrhoids vomit and wet farts.
Bad combination for everyone.
or they can draft that guy, sign nobody and just let him do what he wants for a season so we can "see what we have"rinse and repeat
The helicopter thing is funny. I think Nephew is still taking helicopter
at the same time, they cannot do much now. They can try to get a PG but he is not going to be an all star so that won't move the needle by much. Regarding Wemby leaving, they have two years to create a team around him AND develop him because right now he is not an all star. So that means get a high pick next summer and hopefully find an elite PG or use that pick to attract an all star, hopefully Toronto pick will be high as well and get a couple of veterans to calm the team when it is losing its double digits lead
Literally any other coach would have been fired by now for the terrorism this dementia patient has been doing to start the year. Somebody needs to physically take the keys away from grandpa before he drives it off the canyon. It might have already happened tbh![]()
No other coach would dare to even suggest the Sochan experiment in the 1st place.
Even the sniffers are turning on Pop and each other on reddit. The thread will probably get closed soon

I totally expect him to be here again next year. He's not done pounding that rock![]()
Spurs lose the second half 40-69
Nah, I saw a crack in the old 's armor tonight. He knows this team has absolutely tuned him out.
Give Wemby another 20-30 games and somebody will be in his ear that maybe grandpa isn't the best coach for him. He'll have enough clout by next offseason to kick Pop to the curb if he wants by August.
If Wembdy does nothing else besides Jerry Sloan that mf'er, they should build a statue for him by '25.
one can only dream that this happens...
Not this early, but they'd definitely be on the hot seat after tonight. Sucks that Pop has ultimate job security tbh.
Nah, Robz. Everybody can be got, even the old man. They'll can Belichick this offseason and he's been a far superior coach these last 25 years.
Wemby is the chosen one and he knows that if he knifes the old man in the back, he can pick any coach he wants. Pop, RC, Wright...any of those clowns should be shown the door if Wemby decides it.
And that's 100% a coaching problem. No if's, and's, hypotheticals - that's the coaching staff not getting through at all, failure on a major, unforgiveable scale. The Spurs should NOT be this bad.
This. It's not rocket science. It's literally an effort problem and these guys just don't want to play hard for somebody they have no faith in. I don't blame them one bit tbh.
