Talk about crazy stuff, I had completely forgotten that the Pats own the 49'ers First Rounder in 2008 -- despite the penalty of losing their own first rounder in 2008, the Pats will still (most likely) have a top 5-8 pick in next year's draft.

I disagree. I think they have more pressure if they go undefeated. Especially if they fall behind in the 4th Qtr during the playoffs. In the back of their mind, they will be thinking about the disappointment and embarrassment of going undefeated in the regular season but bowing out to an inferior team at home.

I don't think that the Pats will feel any additional pressure in the PO if they are 16-0, but I do think they have the toughest road to the SB of the #1 seeds. Indy, SD, and Jax are all playing damn good ball to finish the season and the Steelers are capable of rising up on a given day. I wonder if there is some fatigue on the Pats given the age of some of their players (especially defensive) and the mental and emotional high they've been firing on since the spygate thing. I'm interested to see how Belichick plays this final game - rest players to try to recover or go for 16 and leave no doubts?

I didnt say the Spurs didnt have a chance. I am saying the Celts (if healthy) have as good of a chance to win it all as anyone. And yes the Pats are going to win the superbowl. Name me who is going to take their place as champs this year? The Cowboys and their shaky D? The Steelers? The injury depleted Colts? The choking chargers? The Packers? Please name me somebody who is going to win it all if it isnt going to be the most dominating team of all time in New England.

The Colts. With their O coming back in full form and #88 getting back on the field, they will abuse the living out of the Pats D. They also are a solid running team as well. Maroney had a nice 2 games against horrible rush defenses but he will be a non-factor against teams like the Colts. Peyton Manning will pick that defense apart much worse than Feely did.

The NFL is going to be in for a huge dose of karmic irony when the Colts win the Super Bowl by beating the two teams that (barely) blocked them from being undefeated this year.

I'll also lol my balls off if the Seahawks pull the upset and reach the Super Bowl since that's the team that came out of the NFC in Madden 08 when I played season mode back in August.
