Findog's game has suddenly started to mirror the actual Findog's game. Nonexistent and embarrasing.
Right, because I defend my team within reason, refuse to kiss Manu Ginobili's ass or agree 100% unreservedly with Spurs fans.

What was the question? Was it, "Did Manu flail his limbs about recklessly and exhibit poor body control, because that's part of his repertoire for getting under the skin of opposing players?" The answer is yes. Hey, I'd like to have a savvy player do that for my team, but I'm not going to put on blue and green glasses and play dumb when opposing players take exception to it.

Stackhouse was the guiltier party for reacting the way he did.
Your reading comprehension must be really bad. Now go back to my original post and look for the sentence ending in a "?". That mark signifies a question.

I even led up to it with the phrase "Gotta question for you" so you wouldn't miss it. I obviously underestimated your ability to miss things.

Avery is trying to tell his team to stay tough. That's all.

As for Manu...he initiated some of the contact. I argued this a long time for a while yesterday.

Dude, you are being completely biased. Thats fine, the Mavs are your team. But its the paint, arms and elbows are everywhere.

But you are right Stack didn't blow his cool for no reason. Its frustrating and tough for teams to play a physical Spurs team. Thats why in 7 game series, no one wants to play us.
    I can respect this take.

Manu did something very savvy and got Stack to lose his cool.

Waiting for confirmation on Manu's history of excessive flopping and poor body control? Really? I have to scour youtube and come up with a list? You watch Spurs games, you know damn well what Manu is about once you take off the silver and black glasses. I don't have to bullet-form .
it takes all of 2 minutes to "scour youtube". the truth is you dont have anything, not even one incident to point too, on video or not.

meanwhile, in those same 2 minutes i can find you video of stackhouse injuring other players, being unprofessional, and being stupid. so who is it that has a history? who is the one talking out of his ass?

stackhouse is a little , normally i would say the refs hanlded it fine but if the league suspends bowen for tangling with chris paul, they should suspend stackhouse for that stunt he pulled yesterday.

Fair points but I didn't agree with you and got called obtuse for it. Nothing wrong with defending your favorite team or its players but you can't come to a Spurs fan board and not expect them to do the same.

Which makes me wonder why AJ would defend Stackhouse's actions by calling him "a man." I always thought that calling someone "a man" suggests not only toughness, but also a degree of composure and restraint. I don't think of someone acting "like a man" by flipping out and acting foolishly.

I just said expecting non-Spur fans to look at what happened yesterday without taking into account his history of flopping and flailing his limbs everywhere is an example of obtuseness. Didn't mean it as an insult, and I think you're one of the better, non-homer Spurs fans here. And I understand this is a Spurs board and very few, if any, Spurs fans are going to agree with me. It's the Internet. We're supposed to bicker and argue.

Why would Manu drive Stack into the ground when he had boxed him out so thoroughly and completely?

Findog....I don't agree with your posts, but do respect your right to have an opinion. I do admire your conviction.

But have you thought there may be repressed reasons why you believe as you do? Perhaps the real reason you beleive as you do is that the Mavs and Dirk have been exposed as a bunch of pussies and are going down hill real fast? They have not been the same since the Golden State Massacre last year, Dirk has peaked and is on the way down and was exposed by Stephen Jackson, Avery is rapidly gaining the le as the most inept coach in the league, the Jason Kidd trade was a disaster, and you have a owner that is a real with man ties. Now all of that is a lot of to deal with and process. The Mavs really have a bleak future.

Why does Manu flail his limbs everywhere and piss off opposing players? I dunno, it usually works in getting guys to lose their cool and that helps the Spurs, perhaps?

You can't just acknowledge that Manu is savvier than Stackhouse and won the exchange. You have to kiss the Spurs ass at the same time.

The only thing I can think of is that he wants his team to stay tough because they will need to do that without Dirk.

I'm glad that you all are such homers that you can't see there's a pattern involving Ginobili's play and the response from other teams around the league. He's reckless and his 'style' (ie - falling down 20 times a game and flailing about) is going to end someone's career one day. The day is coming where someone is going to get so fed up with his bull that they break his ing nose at center court. One fanbase, Spurs fans, will be disgusted and cry outrage. The other 29 will all know he's had it coming for some time and applaud in unison.

You can call Avery, Stackhouse, the Mavericks, etc. whatever you want. Doesn't change the fact that that big-nosed bag sees fit to hurl his body aimlessly around the court every game. If he played for any other team, none of you would think his way of playing is that great.
I'm pretty sure every team and every fanbase would fall in love with Manu pretty damn quickly if he was on their squad. He's everything teammates and fans want in a player. He's tough, he's clutch, he's responsible, he's unselfish and he doesn't make excuses, ever. When has a teammate ever had a negative thing to say about him?

My question was directed at the mavfan who said Manu took Stack down after completely and thoroughly boxing him out.

So don't answer and keep your S.S. whine on it's original course.

His usual missing tooth parade!?!?! He comes off innocent because of the way he struggles with the English Lanuage?

Mav Fan is reaching and should stop now before he looks like a further

Manu speaks English and gives better, more thoughtful answers than 98% of the NBA.

dude, you're wasting your time with Findog. He has somehow convinced himself that Manu's excellent blockout was something else. Then he says Manu has history, but can't come up with specific examples of this history against the mavs. He's being a savvy troll.

I know Manu is savvy and has a way of getting under people's skin, but it usually involves him taking a charge or driving to the basket when he's got the ball. On that play it was just a basic box out against a dude way more muscular than him. Stack was being a punk simply because he was frustrated that the Mavs were losing and Dirk was out. I can't really think of anything specific he did last game that would annoy the Mavs. Maybe the one offensive rebound he snatched from Dirk, I'm not sure.

All I know is quotes like the one Avery gave here is a perfect reason why I'm 100% against TimVP's idea of Pop hiring Avery as an assistant coach after the Mavs can him. I'm pretty sure both Manu and Tony despise Avery and they don't have the history with him that Tim does.
