The RNC convention is looking at this and probably rethinking their approach. This is very boring so far.

The RNC applied for a fireworks permit near the national monument. I hope it gets approved, if the RNC tries to do anything outdoors in the DC area for its convention there's going to be an onslaught of protesting that ruins it
